Cortez House is licensed by the State of Florida to provide assisted living and limited mental health services. For decades, Cortez's warm residential setting has been a caring home to residents who are unable to live alone. Our goal is to surround our residents with expert care and support, especially around those aspects of daily life that have become more difficult.
We provide truly person-focused care, working hard to know each resident as an individual and providing them with the care that is as unique as they are. Our amazing staff has been part of our family for many years, and they are responsible for our ability to provide assisted living at its best!

Elisio, Carole, Deidre and their caring staff make Cortez House a real home for their residents. My dad has lived there for over 2 years now, and feels safe, comfortable and cared for. What a blessing this facility has been. Thankyou!!
My father was at Cortez Care for many years.I am happy to say that even during his lifetime of deteriorating health I was comforted by the staff taking care of him.All of the residents were happy at Cortez Care. I would not hesitate to place another family member there or recommend them to anyone looking to place their loved one in a happy, safe, clean caring 'home'. Family atmosphere is great at Cortez Care.
The owners of Cortez House are amazing people and they show it through the care they provide to the folks that live here. They treat them like family and provide a great place to live.
My mother been there for 9 months now she 91 with dementia ,couldn't be more happier .Dee and her staff treat everyone like family and I love this place visit as much as I can ,would recomend Cortez house to anyone needing a family like facility.
If one of the residents from this home doesn’t stop growling at my dogs when he passes my house daily, I’ll call the cops. My dogs are in my back yard and he walks by on the sidewalk and stands there and growls loudly at them and not for a few seconds either. It’s quite disturbing and it scares me. My husband has told him to stop and so has my son, but he still does it. This needs to stop!
