I honestly felt like this establishment might not fit into my lifestyle until I moved here. I have been racially harassed. I have become the subject of derision by some residents.
The management is not forthright about your billing and has overcharged me every month I have lived here and refuses to remove the charges, nor allow me to move into a smaller apartment in spite of promises to.
Anyone can look up the hundreds of law suites against the company, several of them are class action. I'm preparing to move from here, and have already retained legal assistance, because I expect to be sued for a community fee that is not administered by the corporation.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We moved my 80 year old dad to Brookdale Tamarac a month ago.  We have been so impressed with the staff. Everyone is so helpful, cheerful and welcoming.  My Dad felt very welcome with the residents too.  They immediately took him under their wing to show him around.  People are always asking him to join them for meals. Which has been great since he didn't know anyone at Brookdale.   There are lots of events my dad has been invited to.  We love all the perks living here too.  The Shuttle services to appointments or to grocery shopping has been wonderful.    So happy he's making friends there.   He REALLY loved the food with the old chef.   The NEW CHEF stinks!!!!
We are truly blessed to have found such a wonderful facility.  They just need to IMPROVE on the food!!!! But We love seeing my Dad so happy and adjusting so well.

Once my wife and I retired, we discussed Independent Living as a place to live. In particular the all-inclusive aspects. Our primary focus was on the “feel” of each place we toured I.e. did the facility have a family feeling or did you feel like a number. Other Independent living facilities were nice, but Brookdale Tamarac Square stood out. The building is not too small or too big. Most residents know each other’s name, and the apartments tend to have larger square footage with large closets.
I urge everyone who is considering independent living, to look closely to Brookdale Tamarac Square. Finally, my wife and I have been living at Brookdale Tamarac Square for the last 6 months and are very happy. We are fulfilling all those things we wanted to do in retirement.
