What a nightmare! We truly thought Bonaventure of East Wenatchee would be a safe, supportive place for my mother. The facility appeared clean, the reviews looked promising, and we genuinely hoped this would be a solid long-term solution. Unfortunately, the reality turned into a month-long nightmare that no family should have to experience. Meals that were supposed to arrive hot consistently showed up cold — and worse, many were simply placed on a table my mother couldn’t reach. Because she was unable to walk, she relied entirely on staff to position her so she could eat, but that basic level of care didn’t happen. Accessibility shouldn’t be an afterthought; here, it felt like a luxury. Even more concerning, if she called for help using the restroom more than once an hour, she was shamed for it. No one — especially a vulnerable senior — should ever feel embarrassed for needing assistance. Compassion and dignity aren’t “nice-to-haves” in senior care; they’re the job description. For families seeking a place where loved ones will be treated with respect, kindness, and genuine human decency, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Our experience was deeply disappointing, and we don’t want any other family to go through what my mother had to endure.

It’s hard to put into words what this assisted living community has meant to our family. Moving a loved one into care is one of the most emotional decisions you can make—filled with worry, guilt, hope, and uncertainty. But from the moment we walked in, something in our hearts said, “This is the right place.” What struck me first was the kindness. Not the rehearsed, professional kind—real kindness. The kind that shows in the way a caregiver gently squeezes a resident’s hand, in how staff greet everyone by name, in the patience they show on even the hardest days. They don’t just care for the residents… they love them. And that makes all the difference. Every day, we see our loved one being treated with dignity, respect, and warmth. We see them laugh again. We see them participate, connect, and find joy in little moments—things we worried might fade. The team here somehow manages to balance professional care with the tenderness of family, and that is a gift we will never take for granted. The community feels alive. There is music, conversation, and so much gentle encouragement. Whether it’s an art activity, a shared meal, or simply sitting together in a cozy corner, the residents are surrounded by companionship and a sense of belonging. It’s comforting to know that our loved one is not just safe, but truly seen. And the communication with families? It has been a lifeline. We’re kept informed, included, and reassured at every step. That transparency has eased so many anxieties and allowed us to simply enjoy our time together without the constant weight of worry. I can honestly say this community gave us back something we didn’t realize we were losing—peace. The peace of knowing our loved one is in a place where people show up every day with heart, patience, and purpose. If you’re searching for a place where your loved one will not only be cared for but embraced, nurtured, and loved… this is that place. It has been one of the greatest blessings to our family.

If I could leave zero stars I would. My father was in memory care for a little under 7 months there until he passed away. His room was never cleaned properly, smelled of urine and had feces on the floor. The public restroom available for residents and the public reeked of urine. Understaffed or staffed with individuals that were not trained appropriately. One of the "aides"(I use this term loosely) didn't know what a stethoscope was. They refused or gave excuses for not using the protective devices to prevent injuries from falls. The staff was nice, but overworked and undertrained. It is crazy the amount of money they collect from residents but seem unwilling to properly train and understaf. I would avoid this care home.

Recently our Aunt and Uncle were residents at Bonaventure and our family could not have been happier with their care. Their dedication, patience, and kindness did not go unnoticed. Knowing that our loved ones were in such capable and loving hands brought us great comfort. Whether it was a warm smile, a helping hand, or simply being there when needed most. Our family Thanks you. It takes a special kind of person to do what you do, and we are truly grateful for you all.

Highly recommended. My mother's been at BV for years and loves the caring community and all that the administration and staff does. They deliver everything that they promise and go out of their way to resolve problems that any organization like this face from time to time. The facility itself is clean and pleasing. High ceilings and warm furnishings. They recently updated the art in throughout the complex and it looks great.
