My sister has been at Sunrise for a little over a year! She says if she can’t be home this is a great place to be. The food is good, she gets very good care and there are activities to do every day. Sunrise is just the right size so all the staff knows Jeanne and are always so kind to her.
I can’t say enough praise about the staff. They are always willing to listen and take time for any help we might need and we feel like we’re part of the Sunrise family.
We are so happy we found such a great place for Jeanne.
Recently moved into Sunrise of Findlay and it has been an extremely positive experience. They serve three great meals every day with many choices at each meal so unfortunately I have gained weight. The staff is caring and kind even though I don't require any extra help but I have a sis who also lives here and does require extra help and attention which they absolutely provide always smiling and being kind. A great activities director with many activities planned all week. Highly recommend Sunrise of Findlay.
I have lived at Sunrise of Findlay for 2 years now. Everyone here is very kind and they treat me pleasant. The food is great and they keep the place clean. I am able to keep my independence and do as I please.
My 97 year old mother was at sunrise for about 2 months, the last few weeks in the "Memory," (dementia) unit. She experienced several unwitnessed falls, luckily without serious injury. The nurse, esp. on evenings, kept me well-informed. Mom was also transferred to the hospital on three occasions - once due to her behavior. I was surprised a facility that trumpets their dementia care could not de-escalate her themselves. Speaking to a funeral director, he related the same issue when his mother was there - frequent trips to the ER for behavior control.
The administrator and staff were all attentive and respectful, but there never seemed to be quite enough hands-on care givers for the number of residents.
Due to complications related to financial refunds, I contacted the main office in SD, speaking to a wonderful woman named Heidi, who was sincerely sympathetic, apologetic, and was diligent in expediting the resolution.
Sunrise is a small community with a great staff. Mandie is an incredible person who helps you through the process. Lots of activities and a super caring staff. Only criticism is lack of weekend activities for people who stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone considering a place for there parents
