My 96 year old mother has been a resident at Aegis Granada Hills for 5 years now. The excellent and compassionate care has been a blessing for mom and our family. The staff really, truly care for mom and do so many little things that make her life so much better. Despite her recent onset of Alzheimer's they still make her smile and feel loved when we cannot be there. Earlier this year mom was IP hospitalized for 5 days and then 10 days in SNF. During her hospitalization the Director of Nursing was in contact with me multiple times a day via her personal phone. While mom was in SNF the Director Nursing as well as the overall Care Director made a personal visit to the SNF to check up on mom, and me, and to help coordinate her care and return to Aegis. At this point the staff at Aegis, a great many of whom have been there since we started five years ago, are like family not only to mom, but to us her family. Aegis has been a wonderful place for mom to receive loving, supportive and compassionate care.

My mother spent the last year and a half of her life in memory care at Aegis Granada Hills. The facility is lovely, clean, well maintained, and has an overall positive "vibe." The individual rooms are very nice as are the outdoor spaces and common living areas. Because my sisters and I all live out of state, it was particularly important to us to know that she was receiving the best care possible and we were not disappointed. The care staff are well trained, kind, and loving in what is not always an easy situation. The activity staff, with Sabrina at the helm, are equally great - upbeat, fun, and creative. All have a great sense of humor and work hard to engage the residents in meaningful and joyful activities. Weekly concerts were a highlight for our mom. The med techs and nurses are competent and professional. Many of the staff members now feel like family and we will truly miss them. Toward the end of her life, our mom developed medical issues that required special attention and Yolanda was always very open and communicative with us. Lance, the gracious Director, responded promptly and honestly to any questions or concerns we had and was always so kind to our family - going "above and beyond" on numerous occasions. Overall, we cannot imagine a better place for our mom to have spent her last days and we will be forever grateful.

The decision to place my father into a memory care unit was incredibly difficult. When I entered Aegis within minutes I knew this was my Dad’s new home. The professionalism and high standards for cleanliness was obvious. I was positive he would be well cared for. Thankfully I was correct, the entire staff and nursing team was the absolute best. The caring and loving my Dad received was beyond my expectations. Aegis became our family and words can not express how much I respect and admire this facility.

Aegis Living has been a great and loving home for my mother, who needs full care for Alzheimer's. The staff is so caring and patient. They are awesome! My father, who, with aging, was not safe to be alone at home anymore, moved into the Assisted Living area to live closer to my mom. This helped our family so much since he ended up needing so much more nursing care than we could have provided at home. We knew he was safe and very well cared for. The nursing staff was so patient with his needs and health issues. He was encouraged to participate in activities and socialize with others, which is very important for the elderly. Our family is so blessed to be a part of the Aegis Living family. Thank you.

Aegis Granada Hills has become part of our extended family over the past five years. Aegis stood out as welcoming and positive from the moment we walked in the door, and a friendly dog rushed up to greet us! We loved the beautifully landscaped garden space, and the warmth of the Cape Cod decor, with high ceilings and windows, white woodwork, two large libraries, fireplaces in the common rooms, elegant dining room, and a baby grande piano. The music program at Aegis has been such a source of joy for our mom, with performances twice a week in a variety of genres (classical, jazz, pop, musical theater). Once a month there are special family seasonal celebrations with games, music, and wonderful food. Aegis management, staff, and residents celebrated our Mom's 100th and 101st birthdays with a fabulous party! The memory care team at Aegis has provided excellent care and support for our mom with their kindness, competence, and open communication. They let us know if there are concerns or if she needs anything, and this high level of care and communication, has given our family peace of mind. We wholeheartedly recommend Aegis Granada Hills to families that are looking for a community that is safe, caring, and positive for their loved ones in need of assisted living or memory care.
