Our family member has been living at Briarcliffe Gardens in Johnston for almost a year, and we're very pleased with both her living situation and the level of care that she receives. Staff are courteous and professional, and responsive to any requests we have. The nursing staff contacts me frequently by phone with any updates or changes to medication that I need to be aware of. Our family member enjoys her private room, and we enjoy visiting in the well-appointed common areas--the spacious sun room and outdoor garden are especially nice in the good weather. Overall I would recommend Briarcliffe to anyone looking for compassionate and well-coordinated care for their loved one with dementia or Alzheimer's.
My extremely sincere comments go out to the entire staff at Briarcliff Manor, specifically the 2nd floor skilled Nursing unit.
My 99 year old mother peacefully and well cared for passed away last week there. She was transferred there 4 months ago after falling and breaking her femur. Surgery and healing were not in her future due to her age and deteriorating status. She has been significantly hearing impaired since she was 55 so communication could have been an issue. It wasn't most of the time. Her caregivers went out of their way to communicate thru written words or her lip reading. I have such regard for the entire staff, housekeeping, laundry, kitchen, nurses, care coordinators (Carla) floor cleaners, front desk, activities staff. billing (Samantha) and even the other patients. V became a huge support as well as Danielle who championed my mothers comfort along with the other nurses. So many other patients became my mental health support as they coveted petting my Shih tzu Cocoa and gave me unintended support at this highly emotional time. I know finding a place for a loved one is not easy but I was very lucky to have landed here.
My family and I are so grateful for the excellent compassionate care that our father received during his time at Briarcliffe Gardens. We appreciated the beautiful, calm, and friendly environment that the staff there has created, as well as their attention to individual needs and social inclusion. The caregiving team was of great support to our family, with calls to update us when we could not be near. The housekeeping staff made sure that our father’s room and belongings were clean and organized, and the kitchen went to great lengths to appeal to his tastes. They were all much appreciated!
I wanted to thank you for making my mom's last few years so comfortable. She never really made the transition from leaving her home which made it very difficult for my brother and I, but knowing she was getting such good, compassionate care helped us make peace with having to move her. Even when she was confused about her situation, she always mentioned that her "caregivers" were very nice. She had wonderful care in the Cottage and also in the Manor which is where she passed. I am forever grateful to all of you for taking care of her. Kind regards, Karen Clarkson
I’m absolutely so grateful for the care my father had while at Briarcliffe Gardens Memory Care Assisted Living and we were thrilled to have Briarcliffe Manor as the next option for his care. Our father has dementia and even though he was first at Briarcliffe Gardens and we loved the care he received there, we still toured a few other places because we wanted to make sure that he was in the best possible place to help care for him. We could not be happier with either of our choices! The staff at both facilities are amazing and the love they show each and every resident just melts my heart!
Thank you so much for all you do and for making such a difference in our father’s life!
