The staff is always friendly. The building is always clean and well taken care of. Belmont has an upscale feel. The Mother’s Day tea was fabulous. Staff went above and beyond with food , fine china and great ambiance. The harpist was excellent.

My mom is happy living at Belmont Village in Lakeway. I don't think any "place" will be more perfect than the ideal scenario living at home. Children hope that their parent(s) at least ACCEPT living in a facility with others. My mom had her sights on BV before she needed alternative care plans. It was a challenge to get her to give up her independence, yet she eventually agreed and - because she had already essentially chosen this place as her destination, she more easily succumbed to the move. There's always the good and the bad in an elderly living environment. Belmont Village is a really good place. No place is perfect, but BV strives to give the residents a good experience. Editing this review: My mom currently is considered "independent" living. After reading other reviews, I want to update this regarding the need for assistance... Yes, there ARE caveats to my mother's glowing review. As a senior who's independent, my mom thinks BV is a lovely place. However, if your parent needs care, then good/informative feedback is not included in this review. I've heard stories and may have different opinions. Please understand that this 5-star review reflects an individual who's needing a facility and transportation but is independent otherwise.

Actually, Belmont is a wonderful place. The only thing I'm annoyed at at the moment is the incessant requests for surveys when I arrive, when I leave, and then texted to me on the phone. I'm experiencing survey fatigue.

May 2025 I am a cardiologist and was the past president of the Heart hospital and Austin Heart. The Heart Hospital was built by physicians who wanted a place where they would feel comfortable having their family and friends get care. I can honestly tell you that Belmont in Lakeway would be the senior living center that I would've built for myself and my family and friends. My mother was in memory care for seven months. She just passed away. I cannot describe the care and compassion that she received, and we have received as a family. My dad is still there in assisted living. I would give this 10 stars if I could and understand nothing in life is perfect-This place comes close. I've told the staff if anyone's interested for their family they can reach out to me and I'd be happy to talk to people in person. Just call the staff as you would to inquire and they'll connect me with you. We are very fortunate to have this facility (And the Heart hospital but that that's another story :) ) Sept 2024 I am a retired local cardiologist. Unfortunately we had to move very elderly and ill family from out of state to Texas. We moved them to be closer but the facilities in West Palm were more numerous but not as nice as Belmont. In addition the Florida facilities made no effort to keep spouses together if one spouse has a memory issue. It was very black and white and unlike Belmont memory units were not PET friendly meaning no PETS could even visit despite very strict rules. The grounds and facility at Belmont are very nice . The facility is clean. The staff has been outstanding both responsive and consistent in dealing with a very challenging situation. The medical care with in house geriatric providers who round three days a week, xray , lab, OT , PT , speech all come to the patients saving a trip to the physicians. We were not sure if we would make the move as it was done semi emergently. They literally were available the entire time with no certainty that we would even come to Belmont. No retirement village is "fantasy island ". No one chooses this but it's life. I read comments about food . At the prior facility in West Palm and even in the most expensive competition in Austin at a multiple of the cost , the food service gets complaints. As a physician I wanted a safe , capable and competent place to care for my family. Belmont provides exactly that service. We are very grateful for the care and support and highly recommend Belmont Village

My mother was one of the first to move in after completion. Early experiences were good. However the services went down. Never enough staff, changes in the chefs occurred often. The bistro was only staffed in the beginning as they couldn't keep employees. The holiday meals for family and residents were well decorated to compensate for the mediocre meals. The last experience was having dinner in mom's room and the food was awful. Mom lacked competent medical care. Her rent was raised every year with the 2023 increase being 500 per month. I do not recommend Belmont Village Lakeway.
