Magnolia manor has been a God send: This family run facility makes you feel like Family. When I brought my mom there I was so scared and didn't know what to expect. And so many questions? All the staff really showed my mom and me so much love Especially the assistant director Glory. She explained the layers of care that my mom would be receiving and the very high standards she demands for all hair caregivers. Magnolia manor truly save my mom. And I now have a piece of my knowing she is getting the best care. Mom has been there now going on 5 months and loves it. The facility is very clean and well maintained. I also want to thank a few caregivers. They are really doing the day-to-day care for my mom. And they do it because it's a calling in their life not just a job thank you,Shirlain,Thank you Jahnaye,Thank you,Ellen, thank you Cameron,Thank you Amy...Thank you to all the staff.Thank you Robin and Barbara for doing what God has placed on your heart to do.

I'd give Magnolia Manor a 10 Star rating if I could. Best Staff, best care, best live entertainment - I even enjoy visiting my two elderly parents, the environment is so enjoyable and clean!! I'm going to reserve a room for me if they take reservations thirty years from now. Marlen & Glory & Cameron aka "Scarecrow"-inside joke, and all the staff, I mean each and every one makes me feel good that we made the right decision with my parents Golden Transfer! All My Best To Barbara for her creation and love of care for those in transition! Steve

I waited for several days to post this review because I truly love to support local businesses and really wanted this experience to work out for us. After almost a week I still feel very strongly about our horrible experience with Magnolia Manor and feel the need to share it so that it doesn’t happen to anyone else. We used this facility for respite care for my dad when we traveled out of state for our daughter’s college graduation. We visited Magnolia Manor twice prior to his stay, once I went alone and the second time I took my dad. We found the respite room to be well appointed, clean and overall pleasant. I outlined his specific needs to the owner, Robbin, to make sure they were capable of helping him. He needs help getting in and out of bed or a chair, with bathing, getting dressed, and making sure his hearing aids and dentures are in. He is completely deaf without the hearing aids. I was told that all of those things were definitely part of their care but that we would need to pay an additional daily fee. We were happy to do that. I was a little nervous when I learned that the owners would be on vacation the week that Dad would be there but they assured me he would receive great care. I should have trusted my gut. I brought two pages of notes with him (things that Robbin and I had discussed) to make sure the staff was aware of the extra help he needed. I am not sure whether the staff just didn’t do much because the owners were gone or whether this is standard but here were some of the things we experienced: Dad was not even there for 24 hours when he fell out of bed and cut his head. He laid on the floor for approximately 30 minutes before he was found. He said he pushed his button numerous times but no one responded. They found him on the bathroom floor where he had crawled when no one came to help. When they called me to inform me of the fall, they told me they had called his hospice nurse but they would clean him up before she got there. It took the nurse approximately two hours to get there and she found him still bloody; no one from Magnolia Manor had done a thing to clean him up. I had friends visit my dad every day that he was there. They would send me pictures so I could see how he was doing. On the third day it dawned on me that he still had the same clothes on that he wore when we brought him in. My friends constantly had to ask the staff to clean him up; the aides did the bare minimum. On several occasions no one helped to put his hearing aids or dentures in. His clothes were thrown in the bottom of his closet and one of my friends had to take them home and wash them (despite being told his laundry would be done). They did not shower or shave him once while he was there (7 days) and his bedding reeked of urine when we arrived to pick him up. There was an outbreak of COVID and they had to shut the dining room down (understandable). BUT, no one explained that to my dad. He stayed in his room by himself wondering what was going on. I expressed my concern to the owner when we came to get him. She was back to work that morning and was as mortified as I was. I do believe she was sincere (she said she was embarrassed and said “we did a shitty job of caring for your dad” - her exact words). She did refund us the additional money for the help we paid for. We appreciated her accountability and that is why our review is 2 stars instead of 1. We are not a demanding family by any means. We were so hoping this respite option would work out or that Magnolia Manor might even become a long term option for us. It took us 4 nights to get Dad to not have night terrors when he got home. That, to us, spoke volumes. We are sharing our experience in the hopes that others who are considering this facility will really ask the tough questions before making a decision. We, ourselves, will never go back.

The best ALF in Tampa Bay! I took my mother here just for respite and she loved it so much that she decided to become a resident. They provide great activities and the staff is extremely caring.

Its not an easy decision to make when the most cherished person in your life needs more help than you can give. After touring a few places I ended up at Magnolia Manor and didnt need to look any further. What a beautiful place I will never forget. They treated my mom with the utmost respect and most importantly the love she needed. I cant say enough good words about the staff but they are top notch. And to Glory....thank you for everything. My mom loved you soooo much.
