Well you asked for it, they are seemingly so short staffed or overwhelmed than could not seem to keep my mother in dry panties or bedding. No real activities besides watching TV or dinning and I do mean NOTHING. They are very nice but don't have enough staff to do what they said would be done in the contract and for the 7000.00 dollars we paid for 30 days. Supplied all her own cloths yet often found her in other people's clothes and bedding. She really wilted under their watch in my opinion.

I have visited a family member in this facility multiple times a week. The staff is SO amazing! They genuinely care for the residents, and their families! Since the administrator, Kaylene, has taken over I have noticed an overall amazing change and happiness! The residents love her and all the families have nothing but amazing things to say about her. The facility is clean, and always decorated. Kaylene has on multiple occasions spent money out her own pocket to get anything the facility or residents might need or want! She does donut Friday every week for her residents and staff. I would not take my family member anywhere else!

My mother has been a resident of Brookhurst Ashley Manor since December 2016. This having been my first experience with a loved one in assisted living, I had few complaints. However, there was a change in administration and I noticed a remarkable difference in the care and attention my mother received. I am very happy with the current administration and staff and feel much relieved knowing my mother is receiving the excellent care.

My mom was at Ashley Manor Brookhurst and she loved it there. Loved the staff. They always made her smile. The administrator goes to bat for her residence and the family. The staff are nice people. When my mom passed away..they showed me so much love.

My grandmother was in this facility. The staff left her in a chair for hrs. Let mold grow under her nails, used her lotion on themselves, while her legs and skin were so dry. When I called to see how she was doing The manager Kaylene Kilpatrick said as they handed her the phone "so glad I don't have to deal with this family anymore" that's how I was told my grandmother had passed. Then she told me how my grandmother waited just for her to see her one last time. My grandmother said she didn't trust her. Lol guess. Grandma was a smart cookie. One girl wouldn't wet my grandmother's mouth because it scared her. Then get qualified staff. People are there to be cared for not ignored. This mold in her finger nails was constantly unless I or her hospic nurse did it. What happened to mandatory reporting. Elderly are to be cherished not discarded.
