This is a loving home that treats their residents like family. My mom has been there for over 2 years and her needs are well taken care of. They provide home cooked meals, updated medical equipment as well as caring, trained staff. You are always welcomed as you visit your loved one. I would highly recommend Bethesda Ranch to anyone looking for care of an aging loved one.

My father lived peacefully and happily at the Bethesda Ranch for the last 20 months of his life. If anyone else in my family needs round the clock nursing care in the future—we will always choose the ranch for them. Why? Because like the other reviews say, the only way to describe the ranch is FAMILY! This is not a dank, institutional building where you are treated to one-size, fits-all care. All your individual, special needs are taken care of as if you were still in your own home. You live with children and pets, where your favorite dishes and treats are always in the fridge. There are long talks, laughter and joking. Outings and activities are always offered and you will be taken and accompanied to any house of worship you choose. Your family is invited to visit 24/7. They are always encouraged to stay for meals and join the ranch family for games, movies, crafts, music and parties for any occasion you wish. There is a joyful, calm atmosphere at the ranch, because everyone who works there finds peace and happiness in serving their patients. This extends to all those who stop by and visit, which I do regularly even though my dad passed away about 18 months ago. The ranch is not just a source of income for this family. They made a choice to live a beautiful life of service. It is their ministry and they take it very seriously. Of course, you will receive all the practical medical necessities: like an impressive patient-staff ratio of 5/2, an excellent doctor who makes house calls, a caring, highly skilled onsite nurse, state of the art medical equipment, and a family/staff with years of experience. Stop by and check them out. You can’t do better for your loved one!

My father was a resident at Bethesda Ranch for over three years. When we realized that we needed to place him in a dementia care facility we began our search for a place that would meet his needs. We visited many facilities in the area but only when we visited Bethesda Ranch did we feel like we found the perfect place. The monthly rate was truly all inclusive - all meals, all physical care, daily showers and shaving, haircuts, emotional support for my father (as well as our family), laundry, special equipment, state of the art beds, 24 hour medical care, transportation to and from appointments or hospital stays. When dad had to be hospitalized someone went with and stayed with him as long as he was there. They take all the residents and family members, if they would like, for lunch outings twice a week. They enjoy pizza and movie nights, birthday parties, holiday parties, any many other social opportunities. When a resident moves to Bethesda Ranch they really become part of a big family. We were encouraged to stop in any time of the day or night and we also became part of that family. When my father’s condition worsened, we did not have to move him to a different facility. They treated him to the end of his life with as much kindness, love and dignity as when he walked in. I don’t believe we could have found a better place for my father.

Have had a love one at Bethesda for over 3 years. I can”t say enough about the loving and individualized care each client receives. Each person is treated like a member of the family. The food is homemade and eaten family style with the clients and family together. Snacks are provided several times throughout the day. You never have to worry about anything. Everything your loved one needs is provided and having a registered nurse on site is invaluable. They have picked up quickly on medical issues and these are managed appropriately and quickly in consultation with the family. Clients are transported to appointments as needed and onsite medical is available and excellent. They care for your loved on throughout their stay even during end of life. No moving to another facility. No frequent changes of care givers. Hospital equipment is available as needed. You can visit at any time and can even stay for a meal if you like. As a registered nurse myself, it is comforting to know my family member is so well cared for. I don’t think you will find a more caring and kind place for your loved one.

What is not to LOVE? Our family member has lived in several AFC homes before we found Bethesda Ranch. He now has his forever home and forever family for over the past 5 years! The home is always clean, the staff very welcoming and friendly. Once you live here you are a part of a much larger extended family! They care for you as if you were their family member. It just doesn't get any better than this! You will not find this level of quality care anywhere else. Schedule your tour today! You won't be sorry!
