Aegis Shoreline has been a tremendous resource for our family. From the day I walked in to ask for information, I was welcomed with outstanding communication, partnership, support, and guidance, allowing us to find the the options that best fit our parent. As Dad settled in, the caregivers, medication team, and leadership stayed close, quickly adapting to Dad's changing health, and meeting each new need. The Dining staff were just the very best - the meals were not only attractive and delicious, but seamlessly presented in tremor-friendly, easy to manage portions. When Dad didn't feel great, the dining staff always seemed to have a suggestion that was just what Dad wanted. The campus is lovely too, and easy to navigate with a wheelchair. The gathering places are gracious, and the courtyard was a favorite for visits with the great-grandchildren. There is also a community garden and a City Park just across the street. Our time at Aegis was priceless, and made possible by the commitment of the professional, experienced, and dedicated leadership and staff. I am eternally grateful for the support that was provided to our family.

My grandpa was staying here for a short time when he had a medical emergency during the night. He used the call button and nobody showed up for 4 HOURS, he was able to contact our family thank god and we were able to call 911. He is in horrible condition due to not being able to get to the hospital sooner and it has greatly declined his health. The staff was nice but I'm greatly disappointed in their response time. It's a great place for people that are more independent.

The previous review was posted spontaneously and I was just beginning to write it. As I said, Aegis Shoreline has many very positive features, including the extraordinary therapy department and the physical plant manager. The professional staff, the dinning room staff and med techs are generally cheerful and always helpful. The floor staff is also good. The major negative component is the kitchen, where the food, for the entire 5 months of my residence, is sub-standard. Well below what I would consider when eating in a middle-line restaurant. In spite of many appeals by myself and other residents, no changes in cooking, food handing or quality have been made. This low quality of food prevents me from me giving a high star rating and would not allow me to give a positive recommendation to friends and colleagues who ask me. If the quality of food were improved, I would give Aegis Shoreline a 5 star rating.

My wife and I both have parents who've lived in multiple assisted living facilities over time. We both agree Aegis of Shoreline is the best of them. The staff is well-trained, friendly, caring and attentive. The nursing staff is very active and responsive. The activity staff is engaging. The maintenance and cleanliness of the building is impeccable. The food variety and quality is closer to restaurant dining.
