Where do I begin? I'm glad my uncle is no longer a resident here. As you walk in you will never see the mangers door open it's never welcoming. There is never no pen at the front to check in & out. The front sitting area is nice & redone probably because the old furniture had bed bugs. This place smells like pee, the floors have spilled stuff all the time and it looks & feels dirty. There is no garden area like the site mentions the only thing for the residents to do is sit in the back of the building by the garbages looking at the wild cats & bushes while others smoke. There is no resident store as noted on the site. This place went downhill. There is no activities at all! Aren't these facilities supposed to have activities? There hasn't been for years & when they got someone they quit. There is no barber shop as stated on the site. I feel for the residents they are bored looking like zombies there's nothing for them to do besides bingo that's it. There are bed bugs they only spray as needed the whole place needs to be sprayed. This place needs BETTER management who cares for our elders or change their website it needs to be updated because everything is false advertisment. I will be reporting to the state as well. With photos of the bed bugs. My uncle is in a better facility who care for their residents. Shame on you Charlton

I spent some time in Charlton Place, until I got colon cancer. I went into rehab, then back into the hospital. I was transferred to a group home and had help moving my things. Someone had already moved into my room, plus items that belonged to me / three sets of pillows, a small camcorder and a big water bottle. I don’t recommend moving to Charlton Place and I have talked to others there, who are moving out as well, for the same reason.

Holly is incredible, she moved mountains to get me in when my Fiance died unexpectedly and I had to move to Assisted Living. The people here are nice the studios are spacious and everything is handicapped accessible, the building is a little antiquated but homey. It's in a questionable area but I feel safe here.

Loved the staff, always clean, met many friendly tenants. Can tell the building is old and not much renovation has been done, price is to high, somewhat dangerous neighborhood, average or lower food quality. Some brand new and more expensive facilities have the same or worse food quality so take that into account.
