"I placed my 91-year-old mom in Golden Care in August 2020. My mom has Alzheimer and had been living in a larger facility for several years. Then she contracted Covid-19 in there and had to go to the hospital then a rehab. At the rehab they wanted me to call Hospice because she wasn’t eating and she was withering away. Either that, they told me, or hire aides to come feed her. (Isn’t that the rehab’s job?) I declined to call Hospice and decided to move her to a more comfortable situation and out of the traditional institutional setting. Golden Care is very clean and cozy. Mom was in a bedroom with two twin beds. The beds had pretty spreads on them and the room was pleasant… a real bedroom. When my mom first entered the home she said, “What pretty curtains!” Mom hardly says anything, so I knew she liked it there. They have two aides for the five patients and she got great care. And best of all she started eating. Pedro Reyes, the admin there, kept me informed. She started to regain her strength. She got excellent care there. Highly recommend. "
