Wonderful family owned local business. This is a business that truly cares about their clients wellbeing! You are treated as family and both nurses and home service workers do an excellent job! This home health care provider was initially our loved one's preferred choice after a hospital stay. The first experience with their services was positive, prompting us to trust them again after a subsequent hospitalization. However, our second encounter turned into a NIGHTMARE. Following our loved one's return from the hospital , a nurse was scheduled to visit the next day. In the interim, our loved one had a fall with no injuries at home, leading us to seek advice from the nurse. Shockingly, this resulted in the provider abruptly terminating their services the next day without physically seeing or visiting him, leaving our loved one WITHOUT ANY CARE, including vital physical and occupational therapy. We are left deeply distressed, questioning the legality of Spoon River Home Health's actions. How can a quality home health care provider do this? How is this safe for the elderly that need their assistance? This abrupt termination placed our loved one in a terrible situation, lacking the essential support they urgently required. Regrettably, based on this distressing experience, we have resolved never to engage their services again! Based on our experience, I strongly urge you to consider our experience before entrusting your loved one in their care!

I know, I have a special connection to Spoon River Home Health so why am I writing a review? Because even though my mom and I started this company 31 years ago this month, I can’t possibly provide all the care. It isn’t about me. It’s about our team. All of the nurses, therapist, caregivers AND the team behind them from the billers to the intake. They are the ones that make SRHH special. Are we perfect? Gosh no. But do we care and want to make it right if not? Absolutely. So, if you are reading this, thank you for considering us to take care of yourself or your loved one. We will try our best 💕
