I have a neighbor who is handicapped. I was visiting with her one day when she had a care giver in. I'm learning about the world of caring for a family member with dementia. I decided to give this program a try. Such a brilliant concept! I have someone come in to be a companion for my sister, which gives me time to focus on other tasks uninterrupted. I can get away for a few days without feeling guilty, because sister loves having someone "new" to chat with.

From the first day I met Monique in my home I felt a great weight lifted from my shoulders. She explained the program in detail, and left no question unanswered. Ash was always there to help when I called in, and I was never left without help when I expected it. Jennifer was our caregiver, and I can’t say enough about this woman. She took such good care of my husband, was so compassionate, and they both liked each other and got along so well. We truly felt like she became part of our family. Marilou the caregiver is such a blessing. Always punctual and efficient, her patience with mom is supernatural, and let's face it...mom is not the easiest person to have as a client. Marilou makes sure mom's area in the house is clean and tidy, that mom's laundry is done, that her bedding gets changed regularly, makes sure of mom's hygiene, and sits with her and watches TV (especially sports). The HAH service ensures that mom can stay at home as long as possible.
