"I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with the service my 85-year-old father received from Ready Care in Boca. After his cardiologist referred him for skilled nursing visits and physical therapy following a CHF exacerbation that left him extremely weak, we were assured that Ready Care would contact us to schedule these essential services. Despite this, we waited 6 days with no communication. When my father reached out to Ready Care at 561-989-0611, the representative he spoke with was unprofessional and seemed completely unprepared, attempting to offer unrelated home health aide services instead of addressing his doctor’s specific order for skilled nursing and physical therapy. Despite explaining the situation, my father was told someone from the correct department would call him back. Now, 8 days later, we’ve yet to hear from anyone. My father’s condition is serious and required immediate intervention, which has now been provided by another agency. However, it’s disgraceful that Ready Care completely failed to respond in a timely manner, leaving my father to fend for himself. If I hadn’t been here to advocate for him, he would still be waiting for help. As a medical social worker in Palm Beach County, I regularly refer clients to home health agencies. Let me be clear: Ready Care will never be on my referral list. The lack of professionalism, empathy, and care for vulnerable elderly individuals in need of assistance is unacceptable. You should be ashamed of this failure. Do better."
