Griswold Home Care was an incredible support for our family. My mom hired them to help care for my dad, who has Parkinson’s, and we were so fortunate to have caregiver Kim L. with us for over a year. She was reliable, friendly, and so compassionate. With her help, my dad was able to stay comfortably at home much longer than we thought possible before moving to a long-term care facility. We are deeply grateful for the care and kindness Griswold provided during such an important time in our lives.

We’ve been using Griswold for help with my grandmother for the last few months. All of the caregivers have been so friendly and helpful, and my grandmother says she’s so happy with how they make her feel comfortable doing all the mundane things like showering and dressing. We are so grateful to have found this company and look forward to continuing with them. The staff is also so helpful and easy to communicate with.

Absolutely terrible company, would never recommend that anyone consider this place for caregiving needs or a place of employment. Constant issues with communication with scheduling and management and some members of management are extremely unpleasant and rude. This evening I called Griswold’s on-call phone number to follow up because another staff member from Griswold had promised earlier in the day to give me a call to let me know whether or not a caregiver who had called out for a caregiving shift for my mother early this morning would be attending her scheduled shift early tomorrow morning. The on call staff member thought I was on hold and proceeded to speak with someone else about my question, speaking about what I had asked in a very nasty and mocking way. Not the first terrible and unnecessarily rude experience I have had speaking with members of their office staff. Not only are they rude but many conversations I have had with them have given me the indication that they are extremely money hungry. Many times when I have tried to cancel a shift the Griswold office staff have continued to call back trying to fill the shift, despite me clearly letting them know it needed to be cancelled for whatever reason. In addition to this, one office staff member attempted to manipulate me by lying and telling me that my mother’s home care benefits may be taken away if we continue to cancel shifts with Griswold. Some of the caregivers are great, compassionate people and even many of them complain to me and my mother about this company, unsolicited by me. Some caregivers have been poorly trained, behave in an inappropriate manner, and I have had multiple instances of missed/wrong medications given and falls. Dealing with this company has been extremely challenging and if you have the choice to work with a different company, I would definitely consider it.
