SENIOR HELPERS

Senior Helpers was far superior to the other two caregiving companies we used through my parents’ dementia journey. The caregivers were almost all great. It was obvious that they understood dementia, as opposed to the previous company who sent some people who argued and had no idea how to deal with people with memory loss. We were very fortunate to have the same two great caregivers for a long time. The office staff was kind, responsive, and were able to cover shifts when caregivers were sick or unavailable. I am very grateful for Senior Helpers of Burnsville and South Metro.

Senior Helpers has been taking care of my dad for over two years and they’ve been absolutely great. The caregivers are kind, reliable, and thoughtful. They help with everything—meals, cleaning, errands—and always treat my dad with respect. They also bring a bit of warmth and humor that actually gets him to smile—not always easy to do. It means a lot to our family knowing he’s in good hands. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for in-home care.

Every interaction with Senior Helpers has been positive and professional. We switched care for our mother to Senior Helpers from a large care provider that could not get people there consistently and when they did, could not meet our asks of conversing with Mom and going on walks outside with her as well as food and medication reminders. Senior Helpers caregivers accomplish all of those tasks and additionally will take Mom on small outings. Mom’s quality of life is greatly improved and she enjoys the company of the caregivers. On the rare occasions that the caregivers find anything they are concerned about, they immediately report to the main office and we are alerted asap. We had an emergency situation with our Mother and she had been sent home from the hospital not able to do anything for herself as she had broken her shoulder. The call I made to Senior Helpers was the best company we could have found. Grace was the one who answered and as soon I as told her what we needed she started to work on the schedule for me. By that evening she had 24 hour care set up for my Mom. I was so thankful for how hard she worked on this for us. Everyone of the caregivers that were with my mom did an amazing job and we were so grateful for them all. Senior helpers was exactly what my mom needed when she needed help with the caretaker role. She was pleased with the staff and felt comfortable with the care my dad received. She hired them to take care of dad but they also helped her!
