We hired Family Matters to provide in-home 24-hour care for our father. From Day One when we first spoke to and then met with a representative from the company, we have felt like we are their only clients in the most positive sense. Both Pedro and Sherielyn, the two caregivers who split the week, are thoughtful, respectful, kind and sensitive to my dad and to our family. They now feel like part of our family in so many ways and we are truly fond of both of them. As things change and my dad’s needs change, the caregivers adapt and also are very proactive with ideas and approaches to care. Five stars well deserved.

I’ve had an amazing experience with this agency and highly recommend them to anyone needing a caregiver for a family member. I first reached out to them after an elderly family member had a stroke and then again after said family member had a series of hospitalizations. Both times, they were responsive, thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Oscar, their client care manager, is some kind of heavenly being disguised as an ordinary human. He took an enormous amount of time to walk me through everything from insurance to navigating my family member’s specific caregiving needs and normalizing all the struggles we were encountering. He answered question after question and prioritized setting up a good match for my family member. The amount of communication, kindness, patience, and understanding that Oscar demonstrated was really remarkable. While my family member ultimately was not able to get on board with receiving help, I have full confidence that any caregivers that would have worked with her are highly qualified individuals. Managing an elderly family member’s illness and/or decline can be a lot to take on. I feel very grateful that there are individuals and agencies like this that exist.

I can't thank Family Matters enough! My grandmother had hip surgery after a fall and we suddenly needed 24/7 care for months before she was strong enough to move to an assisted living apartment. James, our Care Manager and the individual who handles scheduling were great. James even took the time to come out to the hospitals rehab to meet our family with the physical therapist to assess her needs. They lined up skilled caregivers last minute and made everything feel a lot less overwhelming. Everyone was so kind and professional which really helped during this time of uncertainty. Thank you Family Matters and team for giving us peace of mind and always being there to help out! Highly recommend!

Family Matters is amazing!!!! Can’t thank them enough. My wife and I needed help with her grandmother after her surgery that she had from a recent fall. We needed 24hr around the clock care for her but were unable to be do that since we both work and have three young ones of our own. Family matters helped my wife’s grandmother until she developed the strength to then move to an assisted living facility. Can’t say enough about James our care manager, and JC who took care of all the scheduling and made what was a stressful time in our lives easy. James even came out during his busy schedule to meet our family and physical therapist to see what our needs were. They were able to get last minute care givers for us which was a weight off our shoulders. Everyone there was professional and made us feel like our grandmother was their family. I can’t recommend them enough for anyone who needs help caring for a family member and can rest easy knowing they are being taken care of as if they are family.

My brother has had early onset of dementia for some time and just has a stroke at the end of September that sent him to a number of hospitals and finally to a rehab facility. An “issue” with the stroke was that there were really no physical effects as a result of the stroke (and dementia), his issues are cognitive. For that reason he was only in rehab for a very very short period of time and was released…. There ensued a panicky search for 24/7 home health care remotely as I live out of the Bay Area. That is when Family Matters stepped in to help out. They were quickly on the ball and key in getting my brother back home and situated. Caregivers are great and Family Matters management is very easy to work with. We appreciate all they have done to get through a tough situation.
