Dignity First Health is an outstanding provider of in-home support for loved ones. They stepped in right away when I was in urgent need of help for my ailing mother with cancer. I could not have managed everything for my mother without their compassion, care, and support. The entire team is outstanding, and I am so grateful that we found them and utilized their services. The care team was flexible with our family's needs and worked well with our two large dogs, who, of course, managed to be in the way from time to time. These folks are exceptional. I knew from my initial telephone call with Toni, the owner, that I was dealing with a breadth of fresh air. After our interview with Toni, I thought no way could the company be any more impressive. That is until I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing the care provided by Frank Silva. A gentleman of the first order. No individual could represent their company any better than Frank. After 1 shift I considered Frank family. And that as far as I'm concerned is the highest compliment. Full-circle moment, I am realizing I would've lost my newly inherited commercial property that has been in our family for 60+ years, I turned into a thriving airbnb, a lifelong dream. If Toni would not have taken the time to consult me even though my aging & dying Dad lived out of state, I would be six feet under in stress, unnecessary and 100% preventable burdens. For a daughter to give advice to her 83 year old Father is a hard pill to swallow for some alpha Dads. After his death, I learned he took out extra homeowners insurance because of my advice to him, Toni's advice to me. Because of her, I asked all the right questions to the home health care owner in St. Louis, are his employees paid by him, insured by his company? No, they are independent and have their own insurance. Great. This sounds like a terrible story waiting to happen. My Dad never acknowledged my expert advice, just an "oh, Sherri, noone is going to sue me". Guess what. A newly private home care nurse did sue him. 10 months after my Dad's Memorial, State Farm insurance company told me they handled the claim, and it's because my Dad took out extra insurance. Toni's history of experience and articulating it to fit your needs are by far, an asset to your family and the sacred and yet scary time of us dealing with end of life care for our loved ones.
