We Believe in Quality Lives for Older Adults
We opened our ComForCare location because we realized there are people out there who need advocates. We believe at any age, you can still live a quality life — one with achievements, independence and joy. We are dedicated to giving that to our clients and their families.
Bob’s Most Memorable Moment
ComForCare’s Joyful Memories® program was created to embrace the therapeutic and healing properties of music. Watching the audience during our sessions are some of the most profound memories I have working with older adults with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia. With these diseases, individuals can become nonverbal and unable to communicate in what we think of as traditional ways. When I see someone who is nonverbal keeping time with the music by tapping their hands or feet, it reminds me the person is still there. These people are still alive, even if they are unable to speak to us. It’s a very emotional experience.
