When my dad was first diagnosed with cancer, I started looking online for caregivers, in preparation for him being able to hopefully return home. I came across Care Placement and called to inquire. Donna Richards called me back and we spoke for the first time. From that point on, Donna was wonderful and supportive of me and my family. She was always available to answer my questions and gave me and my family support throughout this whole very stressful time. Mary was also very kind and even went to my mom’s home with Donna to assess the safety of the house and helped us determine what we would need to facilitate getting my dad home and comfortable. Though my dad was only able to be home for a few days due to his declining health, he was happy to be there and was very comfortable and appreciative to be in his own home. Janecia, the caregiver that came to provide care to my dad, was very compassionate and very helpful in reducing the amount of stress on my mom. She took excellent care of my dad and he and my mom really appreciated it. The extra effort taken to wash the bedding, make my dad and my mom breakfast, and the amount of time spent making sure my dad was clean and comfortable was exceptional. It was a huge relief knowing that my dad was in good hands and that my mom could take care of herself as well. Janecia even came over later one evening to help get my dad from the chair he had been in back into bed, because he wanted to be able to sit and relax as much as possible in his chair. It became clear from the first time I contacted Care Placement, until the time we unfortunately no longer required care for my father, who passed away mid October, they do truly care about their clients and are willing to go the extra mile for them and their families.
