Utopia has provided compassionate care to many happy families who are satisfied with the services provided! However, it's a shame that the ratings look so low because the majority of the population really isn't tech savvy enough or doesn't have access to post the positive ratings!

Home health care assignments can be a complicated process, but you can really tell that the company gives it their all & genuinely cares for their clients.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

First person came late and left early and lied on their time sheet. Next person was great but she abruptly quit the agency. Third person was terrified of a dog (why would they send someone who is scared of dogs to a house with a dog? how was this detail overlooked?!). Then had someone who literally had no idea how to help someone from a chair and had to call her husband…. Yes, they thought it was a good idea to get someone into the house who wasn’t authorized to be here in the first place. Then we had a no-show on three occasions.

Maria (scheduler) in Riverview office is the most unorganized and non business person I’ve seen. Home agency is a nightmare. Caregivers just don’t show up or show up 1.5hour late and no phone call or anything to let you know. When you have very sick person and rely on the caregivers this is not acceptable. When you tell Maria that caregiver doesn’t show on time or shows late, she defends caregivers and gets defensive. When you tell caregiver to show up on time or stay that extra time if they show up late and do what they suppose to do, they get upset and then just don’t show up.

Terrible communication. Terrible scheduling. Not one person at this facility is on the same page with the anyone else at this facility. Conflicting information every time you speak to them. And any telephone number they have might as well be disconnected because you can never call and speak to someone and they will never call you back.
