AMDAL IN-HOME CARE, INC.

Well...my husband is a quadriplegic & I we were provided the gift of 12 hrs. Respite relief, so that I have some time to recover from giving 24 HR care. Amdal sent a kind & hard working gal twice last month. (No complaints about her). However...the "left hand does not know what the right hand is doing". The so-called "supervisor" 'Valerie' is so RUDE, that my mind is wobbling at trying to comprehend how she even has a job....let alone, in a position where love & compassion should be #1 in her job description. It was a red flag that day 1 began with a fib...calling to say caregiver would be 2 hours late because she was somewhere (that she really wasn't). This month I renewed my respite care. Amdal gave me No choice in days nor hours...nor did they make any attempt to work around our schedule. Instead...Bully / Rude Valerie (& Tara) told me when we'd have assistance. We canceled a much needed Dr. Appointment to make sure we'd be home..plus got up extra early; Only to receive a call from their answering service to notify me that Amdal's caregiver was unable to come & that I'd receive a call to reschedule (which Never happened) WHY??? Because Amdal is all about the $$$$ I know this from years ago & they obviously haven't changed! They are short staffed & overwork / underpay their caregivers. If they rarely get a worthy cargiver.....they are overworked. 18 years ago, I privately worked alongside with Amdal. They sent Parolees; a LVN that stole Vicadin & falsely documented adminstering the med. Amdal also sent a gal who did not know how to use a can opener & another gal that failed to use safety strap. Amdal makes excuses for their incompetency! I hope this review helps anyone looking for CARE giving.... Because Amdal does NOT care....Oh Yes...& thank God for my 87 yr.old neighbor who is voluntarily coming over today to help me!

By far, the most evil agency. Extremely money hungry. They use bullying and scare tactics by text, phone, and e-mail. The red flags are there. Avoid this place.

Absolutely love it at Amdal! Wonderful people with caring hearts!
