When my young son was given 15 hours a week of a personal care aid, we knew who we wanted to be his aid and asked around about recommendations and read a ton of reviews. Since we knew we would be bringing our own aid with us (who had both cared for my child previously and is someone I have known my entire life), I personally called around to get a feel for the different companies providing these services. At first, I felt like they were the best option. But quickly regretted that decision. Once we were signed up, their tone changed and they were very unprofessional both in their communication to me and to the aid we had brought with us who was now one of their employees. They regularly would change the schedule with no warning to me including trying to send the aid in the morning hours when he was at school, etc. We have made it very clear what our expectations were for the hours he was given and when we needed services. They have called and all but interrogated me that I did not give them every detail of my son's summer schedule (since the only hours that affected them was the times our aid was with him and not 24/7/365). They have never referred to my son by name but by a nick name they made up. When they got notice that I was terminating services with them, they called and were huffy about the details. I explained that I did not feel like they were a good fit and i felt like they were unprofessional so was changing agencies. Since, they have threatened to sue our aid if she works for us through a different company. With as unprofessional as they have been to me, I can only guess that they don't treat their employees any better. Needless to say... I do not recommend Koger Home Care from a client perspective and would be leery of recommending anyone to work for them.

They were unable at this time to help us, however that is not their fault whatsoever, it’s Medicare, Humana & AARP Supplement. BUT Amanda was so awesome & helpful & supportive. Gave me ideas, recommendations, AND one of the best talks I’ve had with a health care provider of any kind. We have seen & spoke with way too many doctors & nurses ect. along with “private” home care and health care. Amanda is a true, real person! Great & understanding attitude & took time to look up & clarify things for me. Respectful & intelligent & heartfelt advice. You are awesome Amanda, & I thank you with all my heart. You also are now an honoree member of the Godzilla clan! I’m hoping to meet you one day, but hope is not a strategy, so I’ve sent this.

I haven't had a tremendous amount of experience dealing with home care aides, however this agency is by far the best. They actually care about their clients and refer to us as family. I love Ms. Doretha ( Ms. Ree) she's warm and truly like a family member that I've grown up with.
