Owners and staff are remarkable. The extensive care and concern they give to patients and families is unmatched. Thank you Mr & Mrs Bello for educating me on how hospice care would benefit my mother and grandmother. The care from your team of doctors and nurses has brought an overwhelming sense of comfort to me, my 85yr mom and my recently deceased grandmother of 105yrs. There is no other agency in the state of Illinois like The House of Goshen. Thanks to you all!

Our family’s first experience with hospice care turned into a heartbreaking lesson — and I feel compelled to share our story in the hope of preventing other families from making the same mistake. As the POA for my 81-year-old mother, who suffers from dementia, I entrusted Oasis Hospice with her care during a three-month stay at the Sunrise Senior Living Community in Palos Hills. What we received was far from compassionate, quality care — it was a revolving door of broken promises, poor communication, and a complete lack of accountability. Despite assurances, no care plan was ever developed. I only encountered two Oasis employees during her entire stay — never once met the doctor, lead nurse, CNA, minister, or anyone else from the team I was told would be involved. I made repeated requests to speak with them and was either ignored or placated. Only one nurse, Ms. Latrice, consistently followed up after visits — and I thank her for doing her job with integrity. Beyond her, it was all talk and no action. My mother developed a UTI that went undiagnosed for nearly a month, despite obvious symptoms (including the strong odor of her urine) and behavioral changes. Oasis staff repeatedly dismissed it as "just dementia getting worse." Only after I insisted on a test did they finally treat it, and — unsurprisingly — my mother returned to her normal self soon after. But the final straw came when a nurse falsely accused my mother of "taking a swing" at her. When I challenged the statement, it quickly shifted to “she brushed my hand away.” My mother can barely raise her arms above her shoulders. The implication was not only false — it was reckless and damaging. All the while, Oasis kept my mother sedated without my knowledge or consent. Not once did I approve such measures — nor was I informed. For an organization entrusted with end-of-life care, this was an unconscionable breach of trust. Oasis presented itself as a care-driven organization. In reality, it felt like nothing more than a business transaction. There was no compassion, no transparency, and no integrity in how they handled my mother’s care. If you're seeking a hospice provider for your loved one, please — look elsewhere. I wouldn’t recommend Oasis Hospice if it were the last provider on earth. No family should have to endure what we did.

The experience my mother, I, and other family members had with Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care was amazing. The team was always available when we had a question and just had a special way of putting my mom at ease and making her laugh. They helped me understand how hard it is for a person (my mother) to have to give up her independence and accept help from others. All her life, she was always the one making sure others had what they needed. I highly recommend Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care if you have a family member who needs to feel heard, respected, and cared for. I will always be grateful for the care my mom received from the wonderful Oasis team.

My family could not have made a better choice. This team of professionals assigned to care for my mother are compassionate, caring, kind ,flexible and accommodating. Oasis Hospice & Palliative Care are helping us go through this difficult process with dignity and respect. The chaplin also provided great comfort during his initial visit and conversation. My mom is alway happy to see these wonderful people that come out to care for her each week. Jessica. Ora, Sandra, Elisa are AMAZING. I want to mention the wonderful conversation I had with Katrina that led me to choose this absolutely 5 star organization to care for my mom in the greatest season of her precious life. My mom passed away on April 5th around 5:35pm. Sandra bathed mom for the last time earlier that afternoon. Our family will forever be grateful for Oasis Thank you all Beuford V. Fourte'
