APEX HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE CARE

Our CNA for my mother is Elda. She is the most kind, caring, funny and sweetest person that we could have. I could not have hand picked a better person. She has become much more that a worker to us. She actually cares about her clients and the familes. If you are lucky enough to have Elda as your CNA, you are in the best hands!

I selected this hospice provider for my loved one although it was only for a couple of weeks my family and I were happy with the service, from the beginning everyone was very pleasant and had us ease. They accommodated our needs, the nurse was very skilled in the area of hospice care and we had a pleasant experience. The care didn’t stop after our loved one passed, we received several follow up calls for resources provided.

Beware of false reviews! Most of the excellent ratings come from the emplyees! Most of the employees don't care about their "patients." They don't care about the family members. Several of the nurses treated my elderly father horribly. They treated him as if he was a stubborn dementia patient therefore not administering any care for my father while at the Lemont Rehab center. They barely saw him and when they did, they never attended to any of his needs. They kept saying he doesn't want anything. Towards the end of my dad's life, my father wasn't getting any pain medication, no oxygen, even though it was extremely apparent that he was having a difficult time breathing. No one helped him with ANYTHING. I finally contacted another hospice nurse that wasn't assigned to him and she was the only person who gave my dad more care in ONE day than he had for the last month. Unfortunately, she only saw my dad one day, but she was the one to give him: morphine, oxygen, and some other medication while adjusting his pillows, and trying to make him comfortable. The next few days, not one of his assigned hospice care workers notified us that he was nearing the end and that we should come to Lemont Center. My dad was alone at a place he hated when he died. Apex works with the Lemont Center and both are horribly negligent and inattentive.

Can’t thank Apex enough for their amazing service! Ahmed the director was so kind and Nurse Karina was very polite, professional, communicative, and over all so sweet. Our sister passed away last week unfortunately, but this company has done a great job making her last days as comfortable as possible. Thank you everyone here at Apex for taking great care of her. May she rest in peace.
