Mixed feelings with this place I would have given 1 star but I have to say the on call nurses during the week were awesome. But everything eles all the way to the social worker and my regular nurse very bad communication. I only had you all for 4 weeks and while I was in respite care my mother had a heart attack and they showed not much compassion instead they surprise me with your being discharged due to them saying there's no terminal illness which is a lie they would have known that in the beginning. But whatever this biggest thing is everything was great and then all the sudden while I'm in respite I get discharged and they made me fine my own way home. Remind u my mother had just had a heart attack... and they totally left me screwed and feel neglected they didn't set up referral for palliative or home health which I need they said my primary care will do that but that's not the case in the beginning! So I have a feeding tube and a picc line wuth Noone to take care of besides myself and family and I still need alot of assistance just to get around and again my mother (main caretaker) had just had a heart attack and unable to. The stress is unbelievable and my primary care office said to contact the office to let them know to set up those referrals andni get no call back no response and I tried the social worker (Nia) to let her know and get no response. Wheree is the care or compassion or empathy?? Primary care said how unprofessional that was to leave me like this. I demand a response from someone to address these concerns and complaints.

Miss Miyoko loved these people. Her aid Valarie, her nurse Jenn, her social worker Jenny. I can’t tell you enough. Their professionalism, and being personable, their work ethics…exceptional. Friendly and courteous we’re all of them, even the on call nurses and aides for the weekend. Calling the office I received the same attention. You can’t go wrong with this group. A SINCERE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE ❤️

very mixed services- five absolute angels-- nurses lisa, marianne and donna, and aides mary and kathy. they were the most caring folks i ever met. amedysis should be embarrassed about the other folks they sent. first aide who came told our caregiver that my wife required " too much work" . she subsequely failed to show up on her next two scheduled days. we got a call in the middle of each of those days, telling us that that our aide could not make it, and asked if we wanted a substitute to come. happened twice !! the aide they sent on a saturday called SIX times, saying that she couldn't find us. she finally did find us, but shouldn't have bothered. she bordered on worthless, and couldn't wait to leave. the worst experience of all was when my wife passed, and i called amedysis to inform them of her passing. per protocol, a nurse came. if amedysis tried to find a person totally lacking in empathy, compassion and just being cold, they succeeded. her total lack of warmth made an already emotional experience even worse. my wife died two weeks ago, and i held off on writing anything, because i presumed amedysis would be in touch. wrong assumption-- still have not heard from anyone. we live at oak crest, and to make it easier for the hospice folks, i paid to get each of them a pass. when i asked that our original aide no longer be assigned to us, i asked the amedysis folks to retreive and return my pass. never happened !! the fact that she has a pass giving her access to oak crest unsettles me, to say the least. i have had great experience with gilchrist, watching them care for my wife's parents. if you ever need hospice, stay away from amedysis , unless they can guarantee you the angels i mentioned at the beginning of this missive. i have been a deacon in the catholic church for 40 plus years, so i am no stranger to death., i have been present at many deaths, and am realistic in my expectations. however, no family should have to experience what we did, especially the treatment we got from the nurse who came after my wife passed. hoping this might be helpful to folks !!!! patrick j goles
