Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Key Responsibilities: -Help with bathing for 1 resident. The other 3 residents are independent. -Monitor and assist with hygiene and dietary needs. Household Management: -Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing. -Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences. Health Monitoring: -Administer medications as prescribed and track schedules. -Observe and report any changes in health or behavior to the appropriate parties. Emotional Support and Companionship: -Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance the client’s mental well-being. -Provide reassurance and emotional support during challenging times. Transportation: -Assist with entering and exiting vehicles as needed. Documentation and Communication: -Maintain accurate records of daily activities, care provided, and any incidents. -Communicate regularly with family members or supervisors about the client’s condition. Qualifications: -Experience: Previous caregiving experience required. Certifications: -CPR and First Aid certification (required or willing to obtain). -Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (preferred). Skills: -Strong communication and interpersonal skills. -Patience, empathy, and a caring demeanor. -Ability to follow care plans and handle emergency situations.
