Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description

Caregivers must be observant enough to recognize changes in their clients and be capable of alerting the appropriate personnel when necessary.
MAJOR REPSONSIBILITIES:
• You are responsible for assisting the agency’s clients with their personal care needs in accordance with the care plan and qualifications.
• You are responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living in a safe and beneficial manner.
• You must possess effective communication skills.
• You are responsible for transporting clients to and from doctors appointments, shopping, or other errands, in accordance with their care plan.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Must be registered in Washington State as a caregiver (HCA/CNA)
• Have a valid drivers license, proof of auto insurance, and a vehicle to drive during your shift.
• Experience as a caregiver in a home care setting, skilled facility, or caring for a family member is preferred.
• Must be able to function with minimal supervision, accepting personal responsibility for maintaining a professional relationship with the client.
• Must accept responsibility for maintaining skills and learning on an ongoing basis, as well as adhering to the agency policies.
• Do not administer medication or perform any procedures requiring the knowledge or skills of a licensed nurse or registered therapist.
• Must pass all background screening with satisfactory results.

• License Renewal – Get reimbursed up to $60 for renewing or license with the Department of Health, when a copy of your receipt and your new license is provided to the office.
• Flexible Schedules – Most of our employees find that our willingness to work out flexible schedules with them is an incredibly significant benefit.
• Reimbursement for mileage – Milage will be reimbursed to you at 60 cents per mile for any business use of your own vehicle, such as driving clients or running client errands, provided you are approved to drive clients.
• Holiday Pay – We strive to schedule these five holidays off for caregivers to spend with their own families if they wish. If necessary to meet the needs of the client, we will pay employees time and a half for hours worked on these five holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter, and Memorial Day.
