Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
We are currently recruiting CNAs to join our team. We service all of Los Angeles County as well as San Bernardino County. Job Description: 1. Within the scope of duties must be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit. 2. Takes vital signs, feed patients when necessary, fill water pitchers. 3. Assists in dressing and undressing patients, assists with patient personal hygiene needs. 4. Makes both occupied and unoccupied beds, assists with measuring fluid intake and output. 5. Assist with the application and removal of protective devices (i.e., side rails, footboards and bed cradles). 6. Assists with patient’s activities such as turning, positioning, ambulating, answers patient call lights promptly and reports patient requests. 7. Answers telephone as necessary and relays information to appropriate unit staff. 8. Assists in transportation as instructed. 9. When adequately instructed, performs treatments such as enemas, preps, douches, perinea care, patient weights, application of hot and cold compresses and specimen collection. 10. Administers post-mortem care. 11. With adequate instruction applies binders, bandages, and restraints as ordered. 12. Assists with admitting patients, documents all care rendered to patients, pertinent patient behaviors and patient activities. 13. Greets and deals with patients, patient’s family members and/or visitors, co-workers, hospital staff, and physicians in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. 14. Successful team worker with the ability to promote cooperation 15. Performs all other duties as assigned or required. Requirements -Active and Current State Professional License -CPR Certification
