Physical therapy: This program helps patients restore or improve their strength and range of motion. You and your physical therapist will work on overcoming physical and functional limitations caused by an injury and/or illness. We also offer aquatic therapy in our physical therapy program. The physical therapy department is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., but hours may vary to accommodate patient schedules.
Occupational therapy: Our skilled CVH occupational therapists provide services to directly address any functional limitations that prevent you from carrying out daily living activities. Occupational therapy can help you achieve personal goals based on your physician’s prescription. Our therapists will assist you in your home or work environments with adaptive techniques or devices so you can maintain or restore your independence.
Speech therapy: Our speech-language pathologists (SLPs), also called speech therapists, are highly qualified and licensed professionals who can help patients of all ages. These SLPs evaluate, treat and manage a wide range of disorders that may affect speech, voice, language, cognition, memory and swallowing. Our staff works with many specialties including neuroscience, otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat), radiology, oncology and general medicine.
Aquatic therapy: Our experienced aquatic staff provide personalized treatment to meet each individual’s own goals. Aquatic Rehabilitation is performed by a licensed Occupational/Physical Therapist, experienced in aquatic therapy. Water provides an excellent medium to conduct rehabilitation. The unique properties of buoyancy, support and accommodating resistance enhance therapeutic exercise and create a safe environment for progressive rehabilitation.

Do not recommend. The current psychiatrist (Carla Farnsworth) accused me, over a negative screening for my medication, of not taking the medication I need daily due to it showing up negative on the "sensitive" urine screening they used. 5 to 7 minute "check in" appointments were habitual. Did not concider the high likelihood of many variables that could cause a false negative for a very low dose, and instead of letting me retest, reactively discharged after I complained that the way the 7 minute appointment was approached was hurtful instead of telling me possible reasons why this could happen, it was accusatory. Had a clean record for years there, and due to an unprofessional reaction to my complaint about the way she spoke to me in the meeting, discharged me without wanting to talk or concider alternatives for me. Had her assistant and office staff deal with it, without ever responding herself. The unfair discharge harms me because i won't ever be able to seek help there with a different doctor, as that is their standard if someone is discharged impulsively. Referred me to a facility in an entirely different district and claimed a breach of contract occured, although they cannot point to which clause was even violated.
Policy around how to respond in a professional way when a patient is respectful yet upset about the way an appointment was handled doesn't exist. In my opinion and experience, If you are a patient you are at the mercy of the doctor who doesn't want to be accountable for her mistakes and, in my opinion, the lack of policy around professional conduct on the doctor's end leaves patients at the mercy of unfair rulings without protective options.
Patient advocate Britny, very nice and caring.
The experience at Carson Valley Behavioral Health is excellent! First the staff is professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. I have been going for 2 years and they have been so helpful. Whether you are in need of counseling or psychiatric help, they are the best. Secondly don't pay attention to the negative reviews. This place truly cares and wants to help you. : )
WORST EVER!( EXPLATIVE ) That answers the phone, is EXACTLY like the rental lady in planes, trains; and automobiles ; well that lady actually cares more. The doctor gave her a 3 month prescription, (my wife) and then left the state without any resolutions; which made her prescription void. so when she called..." I'm sorry We have to get you another appointment" so they did a phone appointment, which she had to pay for a second appointment; and the new person still couldn't get her prescription done!!! so they told her. "soooorrrrrrry" just like that. I'm not sure what's going on with the medical in Nevada, but I was told by a doctor who smelled like gin; that the reason he was moved here was because this is where doctors come to die. and when you're a bad physician you get moved to Nevada; or Wyoming...N-E-WAY
This facility is not even worth the time I took to leave the review... but since I'm sitting here with my wife while she's suffering I had nothing better to do.
I love this place, everyone is so kind and understanding. I'm not sure how they got any bad reviews in the first place...I see Dr Carla Farnsworth and she is fantastic! Definitely recommend!
They work with the cops 2 rack up a huge medical debt then charge you interest that never stops so you can go from 2k bill too 30k in only a few years. Rather die on the street then be taken here.. better odds of survival anyways.
