I think it's nice that this facility provides help for Men with felonies in their past, most Nursing Homes don't, making it very hard for families of these Men to find proper care for their loved ones.

My brother is currently living there and though I have not been there physically because of distance and health issues of my own I still have a opinion. When my brother was put there he had a checking account with a balance $2500 if I remember correctly and so I was afraid because he wasn’t able to go to the bank I gave Roselawn all his information and they were able to get his money sent there. They told me he needed to start spending his money, the social worker there was the one who would help him spend it. That being said before Xmas they said he had spent over $400 at Walmart for Xmas decorations and I thought that was a bit much for decorating a small room. I let it go however I got a letter in the mail from accounting saying he needed to do a spend down on his money and did I know of anything he might like and the balance in his account was what the social worker told me. I think it’s sad if they are spending his money foolishly. I truly would like to know. No one will call me back. I’m going to keep calling until I get some answers.

I would never let a family member or friend live or stay stay here. When I arrived, here was a vehicle blocking one of the entrances, parked. I had to back up on to the main road and pull in to another entrance. As I was walking in to the facility, numerous employees began walking out and starting smoking right in front of the door. I had to ask if I was at the back door, and I wasn’t. There were about 6 or 7 total employees smoking in the front of the main door. I am I smoker, but that was absolutely ridiculous. Even I didn’t want to walk through that huge cloud of smoke. One of the employees from outside had to let me in with a code because no one was answering the doorbell bell I rang. The administration staff I came to see wasn’t available so I had to wait. We had an appointment. I waited for about 15 minutes. As I was waiting, I noticed that the second door in the front entrance was completely covered in hand prints. There were boxes everywhere in the front lobby, and there were absolutely no staff anywhere the entire time I stood there. No place for a loved one.

My mother was here a few years back. I had to remove my mom due to neglect. Her room was always filthy every time I visited my mom smelled of dried urine . There were dried bm smears on her sheets and blankets. Her room had rotten food on the floor and the dividing curtain had dried food on them. My mom hated going to the bathroom cuz the aides always left the lady in the next rooms dirty diapers in the trash can. Finally after three warnings to step it up and clean up and just saying what I wanted to here and also finding out my mom had not had a shower in over three yes three months I removed her from there I do not recommend this facility unless you want your loved one treated like cattle!!! If I could give 0 stars I would!! Also, my mother in law was a resident there for 5 years and thank God we just removed her from there . Also the place is dark and gloomy and completely depressing
