NHC HEALTHCARE, ANNISTON

This place is horrible!! Myom has been there for 10 days with no bath not even a pan of water for her to wash. Called nurse or for help took 1 hour for someone to come. Nurses of aids do not work! One nurse for the entire floor. Let's get real!! Monday morning this place will turned in for patients abuse.. No one will let you know who to get in touch with to report this abuse. Check the death rate there!!! One aide can't do it all. This place needs to be closed and Monday I will do my best to see that it's done. If you have anyone here you best go check them!

My patient entered into this Facility 4 days ago upon being released from RMC. I've been a Caregiver for over 25 years and worked in almost EVERY hospital and Rehab known of, but I don't think I have EVER seen this level of hell before now. NO working ice machine, RNs are gifted at ignoring Any and all requests for proper care!!! If you love your people i URGE you not to go here!!! Prayers that he makes it out of here alive. He was sitting up in bed feeding himself upon arrival from RMC and now can barely support his upper body weight to even get into a sitting position. Put him on a Puree Diet although he was admitted eating regular food and feeding himself!!! I was there roday when the entire Anniston police Dept removed an angry family member. This place is sheer evil. No water even, have to go an ice chest I find various places in the hallway then give him tap water to drink. Ive spent a load buying take out just to feed him!!! After five different complaints and begging the staff to restore his trays to normal. STILL NO FOOD 😡😡😡😡

My mother was placed here for rehab after a hospital stay. Overall it is clean enough other than dust and lint on vents in patients rooms. Must not high dust. Patient care is probably the worst I've ever seen. Maybe two showers in over a month. My mom always looks unkept and at times she has not been dressed at 10:30 in the morning. With that being said her nurse Sylvia is a saint! So helpful and caring. The physical therapy group is outstanding. In particular Abby and Ashley. They go above and beyond every single day. NHC is very lucky to have them on staff.

I went to be admitted for Cardiac Rehabilitation after having open heart surgery post surgery 5 days. I got there to what boiled down to be a Nightmare from Hell!!! Blinds falling down, old heating and air system struggling to operate, inoperable and unsafe tv, no patient Call button ( I was given a cowbell). I had no towels etc and was brought a piece of frozen pizza for dinner. I was told my medication had to come from Tennessee and would be midnight before I could get them. I was in severe pain and got Nothing!!!

I spent the better part of March 2018 in NHC after being dismissed from RMC for pneumonia. Everyone was pleasant and helpful, but 2 women stood out above the rest. Jessica Farmer and Carly Law . Carly went above and beyond to help me acclimate the 1st few days I was there. Jessica Farmer was the sweetest and best occupational therapist...if I was down and out she would make me smile. If I wanted to blow off therapy she would talk me into happily going with her without bullying me as some of the physical therapist did....I would give her and Carly Law 5 stars...but as a whole I gave 4 stars...if everyone had been as nice, sweet and helpful as these 2 ladies it would have been 5 stars...
