I don't have relatives here, but have made equipment service calls here. Most staff mean well, but some are just doing the bare minimum for a paycheck. Training lacking? Seen some outright negligence that would have really upset me had it been my relative being impacted. PT's are great but seem overworked/overextended, and maybe not supported by owners/admin. The facility is VERY run down. Roaches EVERYWHERE. Dirt and grit piled up in many corners. Ceiling tiles warped, sagging, and falling. Building should be totally gutted. City/county inspectors should take a hard look at the facility's operating license.

I was not aware about this place until my wife and I started noticing individuals in wheel chairs/walkers around our area. Within the last week I have returned individuals who needed help getting back. I asked them if they needed help getting across the street (it was 90+ degrees outside and sunny), and clearly looked like the man was overheated, and was going to have an extremely hard time going the 1/4-1/2 mile it was going to take to get home. I asked the man, “are you hot, can I stop and get you a water at our corner store, or anything to refresh you”? He said no, so I asked if I could take him the rest of the way and he was super grateful. He had told me it usually takes him about 2-3 hours to go half a mile back because it is over curbs/gravel/and tons of hills. He only had function in 1 arm to actually move the chair… The man had a helmet on I assume due to having issues in his chair in the past. Some of my best friends are in wheelchairs and I understand the difficulty of operation, more importantly with 1 hand. I think it is fantastic they are given the freedom to move about, but they need someone there to make sure they are not getting hurt, or stuck in the public with no way home. Fast forward to arriving at the facility, the people were super slow to get up when I arrived with him, and just stared at me like I had done something wrong. They didn’t open the door, say hello, or help him get back to his room. The staff seemed very unfriendly, and like him and I were being a nuisance. I asked if I could take him back to his room so I knew he got home safe, and they refused. The whole return was super eerie, and I still feel uncomfortable about this. These people need supervision to make sure they do not get hurt, or taken advantage of in public. The community can see what you are doing.

Horrible Heritage Park does not care about the quality of life of patients only money. The facility is not qualified trained or skilled to care for Dementia patients but Heritage Park will accept patients knowing that the staff is not qualified for the job putting everyone in danger

I just visited a friend who was sent to this terrible place. His room reeked of urine. He had no bed linens and his mattress with filthy. The people who worked there seem unconcerned and he had not been given a change of clothes or a shower in the week since arrival. I have reported this facility.
