RIVERSIDE NURSING AND REHABILITATION CENTER

We recently had a family member admit here and have been pleased with the care thus far. I always get an update, and the staff is friendly and helpful!

Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center provided outstanding care for our loved one. The staff was kind, attentive, and truly dedicated to each resident’s well-being. Therapy services were excellent, and the facility was clean and welcoming. You can feel the compassion and professionalism throughout. We’re grateful for the care and support received—Riverside is a place you can trust.

I’ve been trying to check on my uncle and have encountered ongoing issues reaching someone by phone. Earlier, I was placed on hold and then disconnected. This evening, I called several times — either no one answered, or when someone did, there was only silence before the call disconnected. This situation is very concerning. Who is answering the phones, and what exactly is going on? If this continues, I’ll need to come in person to ensure everything is okay and to understand if there are staffing shortages or other issues impacting communication. I would appreciate a prompt response.

After two times of near death experiences, the facility would not relocate me in fear of being found out. From the top, to the bottom, Doctors, NP's, Nurses and CNA's were below the standard. Luckily a case worker at St.Davids downtown removed me from the facility and over time it's been a struggle to find an adequate facility to live at, but Riverside Nursing Home is the worst. Since it was my first time in a nursing home, I wish I would have known better that there were other options. They lied saying nowhere else would be covered by my insurance. This place had no Social Worker to talk too who is supposed to be there for residents protection. I cannot imagine what it is like for those who can't talk or are in their right mind and alone. I was and still nothing was done. No one, including the state, is watching these places. I thank St. David's Hospital downtown Austin saved my life 3 times. Twice in the ER, and one more for getting out of Riverside Nursing. If you are looking for a place for your loved one/Family member, skip over any nursing home if possible, and you have too, do not send them here. I gave it 1 star cause -4 wasn't an option.

Staff are very compassions and go above and beyond. Excited for the future of Riverside.
