APPLE REHAB AVON

My mother was just discharged recently. Marco the nurse was great. The ap nurse in the white coat Christine was great. Kim the head nurse came to speak with me but seemed annoyed as if I were bothering her or wasting her time. I didn’t like that. She also didn’t smile . Otherwise great staff and facility ! PT was great!

They knew I was changing facilities so they ordered all my meds and the destroyed them. I tried to talk to the director of nurses but the receptionist would not let me. I switched on recommendation of my infectious disease dr. She could not believe how they treated me.

My father was only at apple rehab for a few hours before he spiked a temperature with low oxygen and needed to be sent back to the hospital. He was put in deplorable conditions with urine soaked floors and a roommate that was purposefully trying to make him leave. He even cheered when my father left on the ambulance. I would compare apple rehab to a psychiatric hospital.

I want to express my thanks to the administration, nurses and medical staff who unitedly made my experience admitting my dad to a nursing facility amazing!!! Such a warm welcome beginning with the smile on the phone to the smiles in person! Suzanne made the transition seamless as she was so thorough with every step of the way. I never felt lost... the staff was so attentive and caring to my dad... all I can say is AMAZING!

****DO NOT PUT YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS IN THIS FACILITY!!!**** Where do I even start, there's so many things to say that I witnessed with my own eyes. My mother is currently a patient in this place and we are eager to get her out of here! Try visiting your loved one in 100° weather, you and your loved one can barely breathe from the heat because there's no AC, the AC only works by the nursing station. How convenient! My mother has been urinating in cups because nobody can be bothered to help her get to the bathroom! They refuse her meds when they're supposed to be given which is against the law! They get paid by the insurance company but yet they're trying to take my mother's disability money lying to her that her insurance doesn't cover her stay. I take Care of her finances so I'm fully aware of what her insurance covers my mom doesn't and they're trying to take advantage of her. They're very mean to her and I had my mom call me and hide the phone so they didn't know I was on the other end listening and I heard bullying with my own ears. I have sat in my mom's room with her and she hit the call light and hours would go by before someone would come if anyone came at all. My mother can ask for something and all day can pass and she's lucky if she gets what she asked for at all. They do it with me sitting there so they don't even try to pretend that they're a good facility. I am contacting my family attorney and I'm submitting him all the evidence I have so far on this place. It's absolutely discusting what I have seen. They don't care about our loved ones. They don't even care about their safety. My mom has been in a lot of nursing homes but this one is by far the worst facility I have ever seen. It's dirty and smells terrible because they don't clean nor do they keep the residents clean. They don't even do the laundry and some of these residents don't get visitors often. It's sad. The living conditions of these people are horrible and nobody deserves this kind of treatment. I am also going to corporate with this as well as the board of health.
