LORIEN BEL AIR

Thanks to all the staff at Lorien. They were great and really made a difference for my 90 year old Mom. She had a hip replacement, stayed at the hospital for a few days and then went to Lorien for rehab. They had a nurse, social worker, recreation, therapy, dietician all help her to a speedy recovery. She is now home and a month later is ready to start dancing!!!!!!!! I especially would like to thank Nick Restivo, admissions director for his advice and coordination efforts. He coordinated with the hospital and transportation people to make everything seamless and efficient. He coordinated everything with the medicaid/medicare people too.

The place is fantastic. Mother in law is doing so good there. The staff & everyone are great. Patti is so caring & really cares about the residents there. Goes out of her way to help made our transition with my sweet MIL so special. Thank you Patti🙏🤗🤗

I wont go into tomuch detail but, This one star is for some of the nurses who actually cared and treated my grandfather as a person. My grandfather went into lorien for rehab from a new medication causing to go into a diabetic overload and at first it was okay but he was sent back to the hospital multiple times by us not any lorien staff. When he got to the hospital the doctors told us another 12-24 hours and he would of been deceased, mind you this wasnt once. We were lied to by staff that his blood sugar was tooken which was not documented and when he got to the hospital it was in the 40s. They where giving him glucose gell to raise his blood sugars just to give him insulin to lower it for a whole 2 weeks (meaning for a whole 2 weeks his blood sugar was going up and down) which ended with him losing his eyesight and with him being weak he went to the hospital for the last time with an infection which caused his death. The amount of stories told of the negligence happening is crazy and I wouldn't wish for anyone to go through half the stuff i heard. THESE ARE PEOPLE.

My mother was at this facility for 5 weeks. Her concerns about her lack of appetite and stomach pain were ignored for 4 weeks. Finally an ultra sound was ordered. It took a week for the test to be performed. Results were gallstones. She was taken to St Joseph’s and was diagnosed with stage 4 incurable cancer and has been in Hospice since 10 May 25. Her time is coming to an end. Our family would like to extend our deepest disappointment to the staff that gave her a hard time for not participating in physical therapy and treating her concerns with complete disregard. Please don’t take any of your family members to this facility. Find a place where they are cared for with dignity and respect.

My mother has been a resident of Lorien Bel Air AL for a number of years. That has exceeded our initial expectations due in large part to the exceptional quality of care she has received. From the administrators to every department, she is treated with respect and dignity. The lines of communication have always been easy and open with the family. Mom feels safe and secure. Lorien has truly become our community.
