KANKAKEE TERRACE NURSING CTR

The director Brittany Ringo is an amazing director and her communication with me while my son was at this facility was very thorough I will always appreciate the way she always took the time to explain to me everything that was going on with my son and she was very genuine. There are some great employees that work at this facility...one in particular is Lesley who was so caring and nice to my son and I know she is a true angel. I will never forget how nice she treated my son and I will forever appreciate all of the hard work she did. She definitely went above and beyond her job description to try and make my son's time here as comfortable as it could be. Jordan and Dan are also two more employees that were amazing. Jordan always answered the phone with such politeness and love...her voice came through the phone with so much compassion for the difficult situation my son and I were going through. Dan was so great and always explained the situation as far as what was going on with my son and he always showed professionalism and had just an amazing genuine attitude when communicating with me. The only thing negative I would say about this place is regarding the two employees by the name of Stephanie and Lamita who went out of their way to be downright mean and evil with their unnecessary comments to my son who is only 18 years of age. You two should not work with people at all...especially those who are trying to work on getting their mental health back on track. The only thing that eases my mind is knowing that God sees all and you two will reap what you sow. Overall I give this facility 5 stars because wherever you go there are always a few bad apples (Lamita & Stephanie) however the director and staff at this facility are beyond amazing and deserve to be rated with 5 stars...I wish I could give Lesley 10 stars!

My son had been in kankakee terrace for over 3 years and it has been the worst experience of our life their communication is awful things that my son has complained to the staff about wasnt taken seriously i would recommend not sending your loved one here. The staff in this place need refresher courses on how to treat their residents. He has recordings that i have listened to on how the staff was treating him they are lucky we are not getting legal representation.

Place is full of bed bugs. The residents drink profusely and still are allowed in my neighborhood. The residents always run out of basic food necessities (bread,milk, jelly etc....) This place needs better management.

Diane the phone reception was impolite and rude. The establishment could use better employees starting with the administration. In my opinion, I clearly understand why this rehabilitation center has low ratings.

What a dump. urine in puddles not cleaned up, residents finger painting with their feces on the wall, residents with local access stealing liquor from the Kroeger and getting falling down drunk in the streets, nurses and aids who ignore the residents and spend their time on the phone or talking to each other. No activities, no outings, no cognitive therapy, just depression and sadness.
