I'd like to thank the Physical and Operation therapists at NHC for their care and commitment to their patients! They are professional at all levels and extend themselves well beyond what is expected to meet the needs of their patients, and always with a smile and empathy. Today we went on a field trip to Moe's and Marble Slab. It was absolutely the best time. Food and ice cream was delicious, service was excellent and the company(therapists, students, fellow "in-mates"lol) were simply the best!

room had not been cleaned as of 3 pm, no one is watching patient who should be using rollator to work, he has dementia and the nurses and aides are busy but he deserves as much attention as anyone else.

Ms. A. Gaddis, NHC receptionist makes my visits to NHC to deliver Holy Communion to Catholic patients rewarding. She prints out the list of the Catholic patients and ensures that everyone is included. Also, I witness than her pleasant/professional manners are always reassuring to those visiting their love ones. The management (ladies) are very friendly and helpful . However, the care givers that are hired are at best terrible. Perhaps due to the company hiring temps to avoid paying benefits. Seems that every few weeks or so there are new faces working there. In the time that my family member was a resident there were only a few of the same employees. The ones that took care of my family member were rude and unconcerned with her well being. They actually used her bathroom / toilet on numerous occasions. Ate her personal food that I brought. Misplaced her clothes. Let her lay in soiled diapers for hours which resulted in infected rashes and sores. Response times to her call button sometimes took up to half an hour. The food that they did provide was sub standard garbage. No nutritional value whatsoever. This was verified by an outside hospice RN. Worse of all, upon her passing someone stole a 23kt gold necklace off of her which she was wearing. I was advised to contact an attorney but never did. It was enough drama dealing with her death at the time. The months spent there were depressing and miserable . Not to mention very expensive. Assisted living is a joke at every facility that I visited, not just this one. They need to pay their employees much better and train them as well, maybe then the care the residents receive would be acceptable.
