GARDEN VIEW CARE CENTER OF CHESTERFIELD

My mom came here in May to memory care and that was by sheer luck of its own; we were looking for a Medicaid bed and finding anywhere that doesn’t have a waitlist or isn’t horrible is next to impossible. Not only did they have a bed but they had one open immediately; while my mom was not excited about the move from the moment we got there the staff did everything they could to help her settle in. They started calling her “Bubbie” like we do and when she would get upset or agitated the staff went out of their way to do what they could to calm her and help her feel at ease. Now almost six months later my mom is at the end of her life and I cannot say enough how blown away I have been by the genuine care and compassion I have witnessed over the past few weeks as I have been here beside my mom. They have been so gentle with her from keeping her safe, administering medications to just soothing her when she’s scared. They’ve also been a comfort to me as we’ve approached the end; offering hugs, support and stories of how much they’ve enjoyed getting to know my mom even on her difficult days. But beyond my own mom I have struck by the dignity and care given to all of the residents in the memory care wing. This is not an easy phase of life to be in and it is not an easy one to work with; the staff from the nurses to the janitorial staff treat each resident as if they were their own parents. I witness patience in difficult moments, tenderness and love and above all relief knowing that my mom and everyone is safe and taken care of no matter who they are. Gardenview Chesterfield is a true gem; it’s rare to find a facility where staff is genuine and caring across the board. From administration to support staff I truly believe the people who work here do so because they truly care about others and not just because it’s a job. I am so grateful my mom had the opportunity to be here at the end of her life; it was a relief for me to know she was loved.

I can only describe my stay at Garden View as wonderful and life changing. I arrived with a leg injury that compromised my mobility. After working with the excellent staff of physical and occupational therapist, I am now able to walk again with little or no difficulty. I owe the physical improvements not only to the staff and administration but the overall positive attitude that is the mainstay of Garden View. One cannot help but be impressed with the environment at Garden View that promotes healthy living and a desire to be better. I urge anyone looking for life and health improvement to consider Garden View.

Everyone here was wonderful, kind and helpful. My mom was warmly welcomed despite the timing of it being the day before Christmas and she was well taken care of. She received excellent therapy there for PT, OT and Speech. She had excellent attention at night when she couldn't sleep and for her needed medications daily. The staff took the time to get to know her and form relationships with her. Updates, information, progress and answers to questions were shared in a timely manner. We are so very grateful to everyone at the Chesterfield location of Garden View!

We had a dilemma when placing our parents because our father needed skilled nursing but our mother was just assisted yet they wanted to be together. Garden View was not only the answer to our prayers, they were by far offering the best care we could have asked for. Every single person on the staff was patient & ever-so kind. It was such a comfort to know that our parents were in such caring hands. We will forever be grateful & sing the praises of Garden View!

Our father was in care center for more than 2 weeks. He was thin, not walking and eating poorly. Under their care when he left he had gained weight, was able to get in and out of bed with only a little help and became mobile with his wheelchair. He made friends and they treated him like part of their family. I am more than happy and satisfied with the care he received and recommend them for the care they will give to your family loved one.
