APERION CARE LAKESHORE

My brother , Christopher was cared for by these caring professionals. Within the year plus Chris was there he thrived as we assumed he could not. He have his special needs and physical illness that were monitored and treated. He was very clean, he had his friends and his caregivers he care for and trusted to rely on. Leadership works very hard to maintain order and a proper living environment with very difficult challenges. God Bless the Director Gus, the Nursing Director Karen the front desk team and the dedicated nursing staff on the 4th floor. The Social Workers tirelessly pushing to stay steps ahead of their residence so successfully. The CNAs were patient with him as he needed their TLC to maintain himself . I stayed close to my brother. I took him off premises to enjoy our family. I brought him the fruits and meals we loved to share. I know I am forgetting many, but know our family appreciates all that cared for our brother. Thank you

BEWARE! This place is a JOKE. If you love your family members, stay FAR away from here! It's filthy, and smells like urine 24/7. You have to watch where you walk, and don't sit in any of the chairs! There's urine stains all over them. There's mold everywhere, especially in the shower areas. It's disgusting and unsafe. The majority of staff are lazy, and beyond rude. They'll completely ignore you when you ask for help. My roommate was very ill, and sat in her own urine for two days. The staff did NOTHING to help her. I complained to the Director of Nursing, and finally something was done. She ended up going to the hospital. They neglect their patients every single day. It's 100 percent elder abuse. The system here is completely backwards. The people who are clearly high functioning aren't allowed outside for months, but people with serious mental issues are granted "community access." This means you can leave the building from 8:00am to 8:00pm. If you ask the people in charge about outside access, you'll get nothing but empty promises. It's some kind of power trip from the half-wits in charge. The waiting period at a properly run facility is 72 hours. They'll make every lame excuse to keep you hostage. They barely feed you here. The patients get three small meals a day. They used to let you order extra food, but took it away. People are hungry and frustrated all the time. If you want the TRUTH about this place, read all the one star reviews. They nailed it.

Visiting my wife I observed many things I did not like. The workers I encountered where hard to communicate with & when you requested something of them they acted like you were imposing on them. She was laying on a soiled sheet & it did not get changed until I said something to them about it. When she was running low on water instead of bring her a pitcher in they had little plastic cups of water brought in. It was very hot in the room she was in without a working air conditioner & a window that is very hard to open or close. It was suggested by a worker there to bring her a fan of my own. The TV in the room had terrible reception with a fuzzy picture & not that many channels. When she was in a another room her roommate had one with many more stations with good reception. I was asking myself why the difference between the 2 rooms. She had no clock in her room so she had no idea what time it was so I bought her a digital clock & put it on the shelf. I noticed a lack of compassion for other people. I understand it is a very hard job to have. but I want my ❤️ one to be taken care of with respect & decency. If they don't like where they are working they should work some place else. Until I retire from my job on May 15th & be there for her 100% I will visit her time to time & continue to make observations & see the good & the bad in this place & bring it to their attention. I appreciate nurses like Karen who is easy to understand & seems to work with integrity. I hope to see some changes made concerning the ones I mentioned in this post. If not it just shows they just don't care. I want to make it better for the next resident when they go there.

I was a resident at Aperion Care Lakeshore for almost two years until I got my own apartment. I appreciate the nurses,doctors, cnas and the administrator brought so much h healthy care for me . I couldn't tell you how much this place help me get back into the community and treated me with respect and kindness. I will recommend Aperion are Lakeshore to others they need the care

I've spend a year at Aperion Care facilities. Aperion Lakeshore is the best Aperion home. My experience was great. The staff have done a superior job for me. The administrator Gus here has set the tone for the organization and he does great. My experiences with the administator was nothing but positive. The social work staff was excellent also. The nurses and cnas was always helpful and friendly. If I am ever in need of nursing home care in the future I would return to Aperion Care Lakeshore.
