CLAYTON REHABILITATION AND HEALTHCARE CENTER

My overall experience hasn’t been great but there are 5 star people that work there such as their social worker, Jennifer, Cara the business manager, our Dad’s nurse Brenda and his CNAs Dianna and Hannah. They are very compassionate people not just for my Dad but our family. They are very helpful navigating the Medicare, Social Security, and Hospice world we knew nothing about. They went above and beyond. Brenda, Dianna and Hannah genuinely care for their patients. They communicate well with other staff and families too. Thank you so much, Donna Conner

I can not fathom how this facility has received such a high rating. This was by far the worst experience of my life, and can only image how my husband felt about. Needless to say my husband stayed here two weeks before I transferred him to a new rehab. I will say the physical therapy part was ok but nothing else was in the slightest. Meal times were very late, food was not even edible at times, rooms are dirty, ac units were gross, staff seemed nice till no one was around. Please do not send your loved ones here.

If I could give negative zero stars I would. This place is God awful!!!! I was there less than 48 hours. I was physically assaulted by a staff, I was humiliated, ignored, and denied assistance with basic needs such as toileting and basic hygiene. I had to spend the first full night in a urine soaked bed. On another occasion, I spent at least 20 minutes on a urine filled bedpan. The worker stated she had to go look for some wipes. When she returned, she said she couldn’t find any in the building and wasn’t going out to the cold shed just to get wipes for me. Ongoing problems related to my medications. I wouldn’t feed the food to a starving dog! Response time after pushing call button was terrible. (If you could find the call button to press it! See last picture). I received NO rehab at all! I continually had a patient in a wheelchair coming to my room. I was told she had dementia which is fine but she obviously wasn’t being supervised appropriately. This facility made the movie “A Nightmare on Elm Street” look like a children’s movie. DO NOT send your loved one there!!!!!! The attached first picture is a small dollop of cold runny scrambled eggs, a cold overcooked sausage patty and a cold biscuit that was hard as a rock. I did not eat the entire time I was there and no one really seemed to care at all about this. The second picture was breakfast at the hospital. I normally don’t edit my reviews. However, due to a new and disturbing development, I am going to do so. I was a Social Worker for 35 years. I worked in many settings with clients of all ages with a variety of issues. I saw many horrible things. I worked in a number of nursing homes. I must say that Clayton Rehab is definitely the worst I have heard about and had the great misfortune to deal with. This time, I was a patient instead of a Social Worker. I think the experience I had at this facility will haunt me for quite a while. The reason I am adding to this review is this. The woman who was supposed to be investigating my concerns and holding the facility accountable, decided instead to ask me to take down my review. I told her I would not do so as I didn’t just write it on my behalf but on behalf of all the poor people who are in that facility experiencing what I did if not worse. Many of them have nowhere else to go and don’t have a voice of their own so I am lending mine. This request leaves me with many questions and concerns, including whether any concerns are taken seriously and whether the facility is indeed being held accountable. I hope it will leave those of you who read this review with the same or similar questions and concerns. These MUST be answered and addressed!

This place is the WORST!! My uncle was admitted in early July for rehab from a stroke. He had R side weakness and needed help with eating, bathing, toileting and more. They refused to sit with him while he ate, made him sit in his feces over night more than once, told him they wouldn’t help him put his clothes on and so much more! Please keep your loved ones away from this place because they do not give a damn about them!! They do t deserve a one!

My mother-in-law was at this facility. The staff was very attentive and the cleanliness was impeccable. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing assistance with day to day care while recovering or needing therapy. The Therapy Department is awesome!
