So do not take your loved ones here me and my girlfriend reported them to state, they refused to give my grandpa a $33,000 plus check made excuses in the hope he’d die and the family wouldn’t pursue it, they refused to give said money in person her grandfather a lied about writing a check, well they’re going to write a knew check to his current nursing home but the damage has been done we will or pursuing legal action against Kelsey barns and Theresa Oliver, they are sick people they will definitely be hearing from our attorney and will pursue them to fullest extent of the law! Even if they sign the check over the crime is in on going litigation and I suspect they’ll be served here within two weeks, we tried being nice unfortunately this is what it has come too.

This place killed my husband and didn’t notify any family. I took care of him for years and it took only 9 days. And you took that being with him from me. Never put your loved one there. They need to be shut down and some people need to find new jobs. I could tell you a lot more, waiting on a state investigation for not calling me or any other family.

Riverside Healthcare Center in Dayton is one of the worst places I’ve ever encountered. My dad was there for a period of time, and the treatment he received was shameful. The staff are unprofessional, the food is unrecognizable half the time, and the overall atmosphere is depressing — you walk in and it just smells like death and sickness. Patients here are not cared for, they’re monetized. Riverside milked my dad’s insurance and social security for months while neglecting him in ways that were borderline abusive. He would sit for over an hour waiting for basic help. They never honored their word on his dietary requirements. His belongings were stolen repeatedly — his wallet, his new clothing, all gone. I even had to file a police report, which of course led to nothing. Complaints fell on deaf ears. It was clear this place has been reported to the state before, and yet nothing has changed. When I tried to move my dad, Riverside fought me at every turn. They went behind my back, pushing their partnered hospice provider even after I made it clear I had chosen another — the same hospice that cared for my grandmother. When Ohio Hospice came to evaluate him, Riverside staff tried to block the nurse from even doing intake, openly admitting they don’t like Ohio Hospice because they “steal patients.” That says everything. This facility doesn’t care about people, only profit. It wasn’t until the week before my father’s death that I was finally able to move him into a decent facility with staff who treated him with dignity. The difference was night and day. Riverside should be shut down — it is understaffed, dishonest, and dangerous. And let’s be clear: this is bigger than just one facility. Riverside is a symptom of a healthcare system completely warped by capitalism. Patients become ATMs, families get dragged through endless stress, and insurance money flows while actual care disappears. The stain of profit-driven healthcare is everywhere in this place. My father’s experience is proof. This is what happens when compassion is replaced with greed. Welcome to America, the escape room of countries — where even in your final days, you have to fight the system just to be treated like a human being.

Horrible and disgraceful place. I feel for anyone that has a loved one here. I have a list of concerns such as unprofessional staff, unsanitary conditions, and inadequate patient care to name a few. My Uncle’s room was so dirty that you could see the dust, there were spider webs and dirt everywhere. He sits in a filthy wheelchair. I wouldn’t put my worst enemy in this place.

My mom has been a patient there for 13 years and we love the staff especially her activities director. Just like any other places, one or two but most of all they’re all nice
