My father was just discharged from this facility after a three week stay. While there, he received excellent care full of compassion and respect. The PT and OT staff were excellent, and each worked with him once a day, giving him two therapy sessions per day. From the aides to the administration, we felt that each person was personally invested in the care of my father. Having read other reviews, it was shocking to see what people were saying. Those experiences were so far from what we had. I would highly recommend this facility and I commend the staff for the care they give their patients.

What can I say, nice looking on the outside but a different story on the inside. I will say the nurses on the first floor were very professional, kind and caring. As well as some of the CNA’s. However some of the CNA’s definitely don’t have EMPATHY! They also seemed to always be short staffed with CNA’s. My relative was left waiting many times for over a half hour to be changed. There was no consistency in the meal schedule and weekends were even worse. The food was mediocre at best and lukewarm most times. As someone said to me ”When you’re in a Rehab, your meal is what you look forward to the most.” I have to say I was not impressed with the Social Services department at all. My relative was there for over 6 weeks and we were only given one Care Plan Meeting within the first two weeks. After that no other meetings, not even a discharge meeting?? Was told it was all set up and didn't need to meet. I guess that’s what happens when you go to the administrator and voice your concerns! Pictures tell a thousand words’

Very poor responce to bells going off. Someone wanted water and waited over 30 mins. My mother fell twice in one day. It took awhile for them to find her on the floor. I am seriously considering contacting the state to report this facility

My father was in this facility for many years. The care that he received was nothing short of exceptional in every way possible. The staff was caring and attentive to his needs throughout his entire stay. The facility truly became "home" to him and the staff and other residents a part of our extended family. The part of his stay that had the most effect on me was the day that he was passing. The care that the staff provided to him that day allowed him to pass comfortably and with dignity. The staff explained everything that they were doing and allowed me to be an active part of the process and ask any questions necessary. Every time a staff member entered the room to provide care to my father, they spoke directly to him and told him what they would be doing despite him no longer being conscience. The dignity and respect they provided to him is beyond what words can express. After he passed, the staff allowed me to remain with him for as long as I wanted and didn't call the funeral home until I told them it was ok to. Them allowing me the time to sit with my father to say goodbye to the most amazing man I ever knew for the last time without feeling rushed or pressured is something that I will always be grateful for. I will forever be thankful for the care that was provided to my father throughout his stay at this facility and would recommend it to anyone looking for a facility for their loved one.

The decision to place a loved one in a facility is very scary. My Uncle and my Mom were both in East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing. The care they got was wonderful. They were both treated with respect. You could see that everyone genuinely cared about their health and wellbeing. My Uncle was there for years, I wasn't sure how he would adapt, but he grew to enjoy his stay. He made friends there with both the residents and the staff. It was so nice to see that they had so many activities planned for the residents there. It got them out of their rooms, which improved their quality of life. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone. You can feel safe entrusting your loved one to their care.
