THE PEARL OF ELK GROVE

The Pearl EGV has given this daughter peace of mind that her mom is safe and well cared for. The staff is very attentive and friendly! Nurse Romel has gone out of his way to make sure mom can speak directly with me!! They are excellent at keeping me informed and no matter when I stop in she is always dressed and clean!! Not a cell phone in sight, no one on ear buds! The staff is fully engaged with the residents and their care! Highly recommend the Pearl!!!

It would be safer to take your family member to a Veterinary Hospital than to place them here. This facility and their inept ‘professional’ staff refused to assess the safety and cognitive health of someone who cannot take care of herself in any way. A request, which is actually a requirement, was to assess for a safe release or a nursing home placement. Instead, they discharged a patient without ANY. Care plan, and decided her physically and cognitively disabled adult would be her caregiver. They are despicable. For the record, the only invested employee here was the phone operator.

My Grandma lived here for a few years. When she was with it, things were better because she was able to tell us stuff. Eventually over the years, her dementia got bad and that's when the care got worse. They wouldn't tell our family when she fell, gave her the wrong medicine, etc... the list could go on and on. They are so short staffed on nurses which I understand but most of them could have cared less. There was a few nurses and assistants who really stood out to us, really seemed to care about my Grandma but other then that, no one cared. I would like to mention the maintenance man, front desk staff (literally all of them) and activities staff were all amazing!!!! Lastly, the smell in the facility was disgusting. I wouldn't let my kids walk back to see my Grandma because of the nasty odor. Also, the food was disgusting! I wouldnt feed it to my dogs!!!! If you are looking for a place for your loved one, I would keep looking. They need to really shape up this place!

There is a lot of great people that work here. It's always smiles and joyfulnes. I have witnessed staff going above and beyond to get the job done. I always feel welcomed!!

My grandma came here after injuring her hip. They did not do nothing. They just threw a tray of bad food and never gave her the proper physical therapy. She was just sitting in front the window all day long. I hope they decrease the employees salary or take away their nursing license. This is pathetic
