The staff and administrators are fantastic caring group.. The grounds are immaculate. The lever of care is family oriented. You have to consider for the people you love.

What a blessing for me to have been at Mount St. Joseph for a week rehabbing after total knee replacement. The Facility was clean & very nice. Most of the staff have been employed here 8, 10, 12 years. Every single person I encountered from Administrators, Doctor, Nurses, PT/OT, Food Service, Reception and Mother Rafeal was so very nice, kind and caring to me. I had an allergic reaction to the narcotic that the Cleveland Clinic prescribed for me while there. My nurse was RIGHT ON IT, getting me cleared for Benedryl in 30 minutes. A call was put in to see the doctor the 1st thing the next morning. She confirmed itching hives from the narcotic and immediately put me on Prednisone "P-Pack." Brilliant! PT & OT each day to make sure I was steady and understand the limits of what I could & could not do for my eventual return home. I was well fed with tasty food. I got the care and rest I so needed before I returned home. 5 Stars Indeed from Me!

Last year in June my 92 year old father fell in his home, which up until his fall lived alone and took such good care of himself. He ended up at Mt St Joseph Rehabilitation . This place was highly recommended on many sights and I did do volunteer work here years ago in high school. They seemed very good at first. I went everyday to check on him . He did end up with a catheter foe many weeks. He was doing good at rehab and thought he He be getting out soon. He ended up getting sepsis from the catheter because the nurse and aides didn't notice his urine was dark and milky. He had a seizure and was taken to the hospital where found out he had sepsis. Well after that he went to hospice and passed away. I would not recommend this rehab place to anyone who actually thinks they may rehab. Shoddy service when I have to go in and point out how his urine in his bag is so cloudy and I knew something was wrong. This went on for says I kept pointing it out to the nurses and no one cared till he had a seizure and was taken out by an ambulance. This was my greatest mistake taking him here. So beware.

My mother-in-law stayed here for 10 weeks following a shoulder injury. She was quite comfortable during her stay. The nurses and staff were attentive and informative. Megan made sure we understood the convoluted Medicare processes, and tried to answer all of our transition questions. Mother Mary Raphael was very kind and always took time to speak to us while we visited, as well as looked after MIL's spiritual needs. Patty always greeted us by name when we walked in. MIL raved about the therapists, including SLP, OT, and PT. There are many amenities and activities offered. The facility is pristine, but does not smell like a hospital or a nursing home. The grounds are beautiful, and there is a nice chapel at the front. Residents can watch mass from a closed circuit broadcast in their rooms. There was variety in the meals and they were well portioned. They were very accommodating in getting her ready for appointments - even when she had to leave at 4 am for surgery!

My mother wasn't even there a week before I was notified that they found her on the floor. Her hip was broken, and she is now bedridden. On several occasions I found her with half eaten trays of food and spilt cups of water in her bed. At one point, she went for 45 days without being bathed. There were times when I was with her and informed the aids that she needed to be changed where they would get the supplies and give them to me. Mom spent most of her time (she has severe dementia) alone while the aids sat in the common areas on their cell phones. I saw this many times. I could go on. After several complaints to the Director of Nursing and Mother Superior nothing improved. I quit my job and brought her home to care for her myself. I should have filed a lawsuit. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!!
