We couldn’t be more grateful for the outstanding care our parents received at Avamere Riverpark of Eugene. From the moment they arrived, the staff showed genuine compassion, professionalism, and warmth. Every nurse, aide, and team member treated them with dignity and respect, and it brought our family great peace of mind knowing they were in such capable hands. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and has a calming atmosphere that truly feels like home. The therapy team was exceptional—patient, encouraging, and always focused on helping our parents regain strength and independence. The communication from staff to family was consistent and transparent, which we deeply appreciated. We wholeheartedly recommend Avamere Riverpark of Eugene to anyone seeking a high-quality skilled nursing facility for their loved ones. Thank you for making such a meaningful difference in our family’s life.

My 90-year old father recently spent a month at Avamere Riverpark to rehab after a hip fracture and replacement. The staff at Riverpark did a wonderful job with physical therapy, wound care, general nursing, bathing, meals, and social work. The staff were all very responsive to any concerns or questions I raised during visits or phone calls and took pride in their work. They also provided me with a lot of support and practical counsel for transporting my dad a long distance upon discharge. The main downside of Riverpark was that while the rooms and community areas are clean and well-maintained, the facility is older and a bit run down.

Constantly having their landscaping team do leaf blower work after 10pm. Don’t send your family to this terrible place.

UPDATE 27 March 2025: I hoped to go see improvements to this facility since my first review. But I can't review this facility because they haven't responded to the email I sent from their own website a good 4 weeks ago. All I wanted was an appointment for a tour of long-term care. Given the fact they don't even read their own email I'm searching elsewhere for a place for my husband who's on hospice. --------------------------------- Maria Mick, good to hear there's new management but I still would not send anyone to Riverpark until I hear there's been a massive change in how they run that place and upped their staffing. My mother had to stay there 10 days in 2019 after partially breaking her hip. The PT staff were really good with her but the rest of her experience there was awful. Dirty rooms, sloppy housekeeping (if any at all), uncaring and poorly trained staff, delays in receiving meds, hot food left to go cold and cold food left to warm up to room temperature. Her roommate couldn't eat fish, listed that on her admittance papers, and was served fish twice. When informed of this error they offered her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I ended up getting take-out every day either for lunch or dinner for both women out of my own pocket, just for nutrition's sake. No one working there ever spoke to me about that. Had we but known about the lawsuit on behalf of that elderly couple that died there before letting PeaceHealth send my mother to Riverpark we would have opted for Green Valley, where she ended up a year later for a week. Totally different experience there. I also saw staff recording care as delivered that was not delivered to my mom's roommate. Fortunately for both of them we weren't in COVID back then and I was allowed to stay all day and all evening, so I did personal care and cleaned the room for both women. They also admitted my mother as a non-Medicare patient even though PeaceHealth sent her over as a Medicare patient. This limited the number of PT sessions she was given. We never did get that straightened out before she was discharged.

My mom was in Avamere River park for a little over two weeks, and they treated her with so much respect and dignity. I highly recommend this facility with your family care needs. Thank you Avamere!
