My dad has dementia and they chemically restrained him to make him more “manageable” according to Liz. He almost died from being chemically restrained. We called the ambulance to take him out of there and now we don’t know what to do. I’m scared for his life and am left trying to get legal advice because it is illegal to chemically restrain an elderly person with dementia for the convenience of staff. Please avoid this nursing home. The abuse and neglect killed my dad and I can’t stop crying about it. Why did you people do this to my dad? He didn’t deserve this treatment and lack of dignity. Update** Dad is dead and he came back a vegetable from being sent to a psychiatric place by pioneer. No lawyers want to touch the case. Please don’t send your loved ones here. Take care of them at home where there isn’t strangers that will stuff your loved ones full of pills and kill them. I believe my dad was murdered by this place and I will never get him back. If I could help anyone with this warning please don’t send your loved ones here. My dad is dead and the trauma of him getting sent somewhere and coming back a vegetable is something I will never recover from.

Not recommended. My boyfriend was put in here on Hospice, the staff were horrible and even hit his head while moving him. My experience with the staff was anything but pleasant, especially the young staff that are rude and rather chit chat and flirt with each other than focus on patients.

Other than the policy of not allowing friendly communication between residents and staff is an awful policy. At the end of life you need friendly and personal interaction with the staff and other residents! Please review that negative policy and change it!

A new very modern and beautiful facility. Large single carpeted rooms with nice furniture and large windows, ensuite bathrooms, quiet extra wide carpeted hall ways. Large nicely furnished dining rooms each with their own kitchen and staff, large gathering rooms, large windows throughout, exercise rooms, visitor friendly, nice landscaping. Very clean and fresh smelling. Could have more staff on duty.

I agree about the neglect, and not enough care for the patients.
