Since I’ve started it’s been beautiful to see how the activity department has come along! The team is warm and nice and the residents seem to enjoy all the new programs!

Based on my experience, I have gotten to know most of the staff here and each staff member I have come across demonstrates real concern. I know no patient wants to be here. But need is a big difference from the want. I truly wish I had the magic power to grant the wish and Blessing to every patient hear. My Dad is currently here along with one of my mother's childhood friends. This is a journey I know some of us may have to take someday, but if a day like this comes before me, I pray 🙏 that I be Blessed to have sincere people caring for me who likes what they because it's apart of their nature. Thanks for caring and watching over the only Pops I have.

I had been putting off going to Aperion Care in Forest Park For no particular reason, just slacking. But I went in today, August 1, 2025, I immediately was greeted by a warm receptionist, and I then met the director of nursing. I guess I can say impressed her. Soon after the HR contacted me and I was glad to hear from the person, at this point the process was very simple to navigate through. I just hope all goes well and I can be here until I decide to retire. Thank you for making my job experience introduction a great one.

This place ... let me start by saying there are some staff members who genuinely care for the residents but the others ... My husband was housed there for 2 weeks, and when I say we worked with his doctors for an early release, with the physicians' permission, we WORKED ! The room :: The moment we arrived via ambulance, I knew I didn't want him to stay there. They told us he is in Room *** Bed 3, and I was immediately discouraged. We got to the room, and there were 2 roommates. One spoke no English and sat on his bed or wheelchair staring at us all day long. The other guy completely took over the restroom and would be in and out of it all day. My husband also has a wheelchair and by there being 3 people in the room, there was no real space for his chair to maneuver. The windows had bugs all over them, and the bugs actually crawled inside somehow and got on his things. We reported the issue, maintenance came and did absolutely nothing about it. The physical therapy center is pretty modern, and the staff were cordial. No complaints there. The nursing staff :: Good service always depended on the shift (typically 1st shift) and also, the the day of the week (better Mon-Fri). One nurse left an IV in my husband's arm so long that blood started flowing back into the tube. Another day, I was there, and we hit the light for assistance, and the nurse didn't come for over an hour. He was even sent home with meds for another patient. Shower Rooms :: I gave him all his showers (shower rooms were always filled with solied towels and filled tradh cans with not tissue in those restrooms), got him dressed, and changed his bed sheets (I took the clean linens from carts left in the hallways). Housekeeping only cleaned his floor twice in a 2-week span. Even his trash can was not emptied but once every few days. Dietary department :: pics speak for themselves ! I provided him meals every day because of the awful in-house food. The moral of this review :: send your loved one to a different facility ! The STATE should have been closed this place down. The smell is one you can not get out of your memory amongst the other issues that have happened.

Front desk very friendly and informed me all the visitors rules and time of visitation. Also how they will work around my time to visit my family member without disturbing others. 2. The floor nurses were friendly and kind with a smile. I felt special. I believe thr family made a good choice for my cousin. Thanks! Mr. Bright
